According to Fátima Bezerra, governor and professor, the commitment term was signed because the company’s qualifications and commitment are widely recognized.

The agreement also demonstrates the government’s commitment to sustainable social and economic development. It is worth noting that RN has the best conditions in the country for the production of offshore wind energy, as well as for the production of hydrogen and green ammonia.

Fátima claims that RN’s renewable energy production has enormous potential, and it is no coincidence that the state holds the title of largest wind producer in Brazil, whether in offshore or onshore wind energy, and is still optimistic about advancements in hydrogen and green ammonia. In the last auction for new plants, RN secured first place and approved nearly three times more projects than São Paulo.

Founder of Enterpryze Energy Comments on Agreement with RN Government

According to Lan Hatton, founder of the company, RN is an excellent place for offshore wind energy, hydrogen, and green ammonia projects and can generate more than 2 GW from these sources.

In addition to being in a great location, it has excellent conditions for production and storage on land and at sea, potentially becoming a major center for the production and distribution of hydrogen and green ammonia.

Hatton states that since 2016, the company has been developing projects in Taiwan, and next year, construction for 1 GW production will begin. In Vietnam, they will reach 5 gigawatts of energy through green hydrogen. All engineering applied in these countries will be utilized in RN, which will reduce delays in projects.

Skilled Workforce in RN

According to Jaime Calado, Secretary of State for Economic Development (Sedec), the state has a qualified workforce at the middle, technical, higher education, and postgraduate levels provided by public universities and institutions.

The state government, in partnership with the Senar Institute of Innovation in Renewable Energies (ISI-ER), is developing the solar and wind atlas. According to Jaime, the atlas will be ready by April 2022 and will be valid for 10 years. Additionally, the state has 14 of the largest offshore wind energy companies in the world.

Along with the governor’s support, which promotes job creation and income sustainability, Fátima has requested that subsidiaries operating through the company establish their offices or administrative headquarters in the state.
