Reduction of Over 35 Tons of CO2
With the start of biodiesel pipeline operations, the executive estimates that more than 12,000 truck trips will be avoided each year, thus reducing emissions by 35 tons in the company’s operations.
According to Dalla, the logistics of its biodiesel operation will become cheaper, both for COFCO International and for its clients, as well as faster, more sustainable, and safer.
The company’s plant in Rondonópolis (MT) had previously undergone an expansion process in 2019, when its soybean processing capacity was increased to 1.4 million tons per year, and biodiesel production was increased by 42%. Since then, biodiesel production at the plant has grown by over 28%, according to the company.
