The Anticipated Trail Bike, Honda Tornado Promises to Impress with More Powerful Engine, Enhanced Suspension, and Cutting-Edge Technology!

During the 2024 Interlagos Festival, Honda unveiled the new Honda XR 300L Tornado, revealing that all technical details will be announced in July, on the official launch date. However, some of the most significant changes compared to the previous model, the XR250 Tornado, can already be identified, according to the website Autopapo.

1. More Powerful Engine in the New Honda Tornado XR

One of the main changes in the new Honda Tornado XR 300L is the increase in engine displacement. The previous model, with its 249 cm³ engine, delivered 23.3 hp and 2.42 kgfm. Now, the Tornado features a 293.5 cm³ engine, capable of producing up to 25.2 hp and 2.74 kgfm with ethanol. This upgrade promises superior performance, especially on off-road terrains, maintaining a tradition of reliability and robustness.

2. Enhanced Suspension

The new Honda Tornado also features significant improvements in its suspension. Compared to the old 250 and the XRE 300 Sahara, the XR 300L comes with longer forks, which should provide an even greater suspension travel. The Tornado 250 had 220 mm in the front and 242 mm in the rear, while the 300 Sahara has 221 mm in the front and 225 mm in the rear. Although the complete technical data has not yet been released, it is expected that the XR 300L will surpass these measurements, offering a smoother and more efficient riding experience on trails.

3. Minimum Ground Clearance

Minimum ground clearance is a crucial factor for trail bikes, and the new Honda Tornado does not disappoint. Sharing components with the XRE 300 Sahara, the XR 300L should have at least 269 mm between the lowest part of the engine and the ground. The Tornado 250 varied between 269 mm and 281 mm, depending on the seat adjustment. This feature ensures that the new Tornado continues to be an excellent option for off-road adventures.

4. Disc Brakes on Both Wheels

One anticipated and welcome upgrade is the disc brakes on both wheels. While the XR250 Tornado only had a disc brake on the front wheel, the new XR 300L Tornado comes equipped with discs on both wheels, likely the same as those on the XRE 300 Sahara, which has 256 mm in the front and 220 mm in the rear. This improvement enhances safety and braking efficiency, especially in adverse conditions.

5. LED Lighting

The modernization of the new Tornado includes the adoption of LED lighting. This technology not only improves visibility during night riding, but also is more efficient and durable compared to traditional bulbs. The inclusion of LEDs brings the Tornado in line with the latest trends in the motorcycle market.

Fuel Tank Capacity

Although it is still speculation, there are expectations that the new XR 300L Tornado will have a larger fuel tank than the XR250. The XRE 300 has a capacity of 13.8 liters, while the Tornado 250 had 11.5 liters. Given the increased displacement and the proposition to be lighter than the Sahara, it is likely that the tank of the new Tornado will be enlarged to provide greater autonomy.

Pessoal reclama, reclamam mas não compra outras marcas, como BMW e Kawasaki que tem excelentes motos 300. Então tem que parar de reclamar. Nada ta bom, só reclama…
