Honeywell at ROG.E to Showcase Energy Transition Solutions in the Oil and Gas Sector. Featured Partnerships Include Petrobras and Acelen in the Field of Renewable Fuels.
Honeywell will be present at ROG.E, where it will display its innovations aimed at the energy transition in the oil and gas sector. At the company’s booth, visitors will have the opportunity to see practical demonstrations and case studies from satisfied customers. Among Honeywell’s main partners in the production of renewable fuels are Petrobras and Acelen.
During the event, Honeywell will highlight its technological solutions that facilitate the transition to greener energies. It will be a unique opportunity to learn about the innovations that are transforming the global energy sector. Among the strategic partnerships are collaborations with industry giants such as Petrobras and Acelen. Advanced Solutions from Honeywell
During the conference, Honeywell will present its latest technologies and solutions designed to lead the digital transformation and energy transition in the oil and gas sector. Among these innovations is the UOP Ecofining™ Process, a technology developed to convert vegetable oils and animal fats into renewable fuels. This includes renewable diesel and sustainable aviation fuel.
This technology stands out for its high efficiency, producing biofuels that significantly reduce carbon emissions compared to traditional fossil fuels. Thus, Honeywell offers a viable solution to face current energy and environmental challenges.

Another highlight at the event will be the Experion® PKS (Process Knowledge System), a solution widely used in oil and gas projects, including FPSOs (Floating Production Storage and Offloading) that will soon be operating in Brazilian waters.

In addition, innovations in future refineries will include processing of renewable fuels and asset performance management. This will encompass projects for energy efficiency, production intelligence, and emissions monitoring. Such features will provide a comprehensive view of advanced capabilities and technological innovations in Honeywell’s process automation systems.
At the Honeywell booth, visitors will have the chance to interact with experts and explore a wide range of solutions. This includes industrial automation, digitalization, instrumentation, and sustainability-focused solutions. They will also get to see gas detectors and specific protective equipment for the oil and gas industry, as well as gain valuable insights into the future of the sector.

Petrobras announced that it will use Honeywell UOP’s Ecofining technology to produce 100% renewable diesel (HVO) and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) from renewable feedstocks such as soybean oil and tallow. This technology will allow Petrobras to process 2,000 m³/d of feedstock, composed of 70% soybean oil and 30% tallow, for the production of BioQav and renewable diesel.
Strategic Partnerships
The Ecofining technology is classified as a HEFA (Hydroprocessed Esters and Fatty Acids, ASTM 7566) process for the conversion of lipid feedstocks into renewable diesel and SAF. More details can be found on Petrobras’ official website through a protected link.
Acelen Renováveis has also chosen Honeywell’s Ecofining technology for processing 2,000 daily barrels of macaúba oil, a native Brazilian palm, aimed at producing renewable diesel and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). This new plant will be installed at Acelen’s facilities in Bahia, Brazil.
