The Tone of Creta Arrives in Compact Cars and Promotional Campaign Reduces Prices Until August 6

The Hyundai presented the new 2026 line of the HB20 and HB20S models. The changes have subtly touched the national market.

Although the initial focus was on the reorganization of versions and standard items, two points are now highlighting: the new color and the discounts with IPI exemption.

These changes come with the inclusion of the models in the Sustainable Car Program, which grants exemption until August 6, 2025, according to Hyundai.

New Solid Color Brings Elegance and Follows Global Trend

With the 2026 line, Hyundai added the Shadow Gray color to the palette of its compact HB20 and HB20S models.

This color debuted in the restyled Creta in 2024. Now it becomes part of the visual of the brand’s two smaller models.

Visually, it resembles Audi’s Nardo Grey. This shade has gained prominence in the global market due to its solid finish and more sober and modern look.

The new color is offered in the Platinum, Limited, and Comfort versions. This makes it more accessible than in the Creta, where it is limited to the Ultimate version.

The Shadow Gray joins the Onyx Black and Atlas White colors. The metallic options available include Silk Gray, Sand Silver, Brisk, and the pearly Sapphire Blue.

Models Gain IPI Exemption and Reduce Prices by up to R$ 12 Thousand

The compact models from Hyundai are now included in the Green IPI. This policy is part of the Sustainable Car Program launched by the federal government in 2025.

As a result, vehicles with a 1.0 aspirated engine have gained exemption from the tax. This has ensured significant price reductions, valid until August 6, 2025.

The Comfort version of the HB20 hatch, which previously cost R$ 95,790, is now priced at R$ 83,990. The difference represents a saving of R$ 11,800.

The Limited version, equipped with digital air conditioning and 16-inch wheels, cost R$ 99,990. It will now be sold for R$ 87,990, resulting in a R$ 12,000 discount.

In the HB20S, the Comfort Plus version dropped from R$ 103,010 to R$ 93,990. This represents a reduction of R$ 9,020 from the previous price.

The Limited version of the sedan, in turn, dropped from R$ 106,490 to R$ 99,490, guaranteeing a total discount of R$ 7,000, according to Hyundai.

1.0 Flex Kappa Engine Remains a Highlight in Urban Performance

The HB20 and HB20S models continue to be equipped with the 1.0 Kappa, three-cylinder aspirated engine. Additionally, this setup is popular in the entry segment.
The engine produces up to 80 hp of power and 10.2 kgfm of torque with ethanol. On the other hand, with gasoline, it offers 75 hp and 9.6 kgfm.
The transmission is always a five-speed manual. Therefore, this setup ensures good fuel efficiency, as well as providing simple maintenance.
Thus, it is an ideal choice for those wanting savings without compromising mechanical efficiency.

Hyundai’s Strategy Aims to Attract Consumers with Style and Savings

Hyundai, like Volkswagen and Fiat, is betting on promotions. After all, all three brands reacted quickly to the IPI exemption for sustainable cars.

Therefore, Hyundai reinforces its commitment to competitiveness. Furthermore, it highlights the new design and more affordable prices for Brazilian consumers.

Meanwhile, the promotional campaign runs until August 6, 2025. Thus, the HB20 and HB20S models are expected to attract consumers focused on savings.

More than that, the discounts applied exceed the IPI exemption. Therefore, Hyundai intensifies its competition for leadership in national sales for 2025.
