IBGE Is Having A New Selection Process With Internships Open. In Total, There Are 300 Positions Available Without Experience For Students From All Over The Country.
The Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) published this week the complete list of locations and courses eligible for the selection process for paid interns (positions without experience). The program offers 316 immediate internship positions distributed among 23 courses across all states of the country, with monthly stipends ranging from R$ 787 to R$ 1,100, depending on the workload, which varies from 4 to 5 hours per day.
List of Eligible Courses for IBGE Internship Positions Without Experience
In addition to the immediate internship positions, IBGE will also have a reserve list of approved candidates. Those interested in participating in the selection process must be enrolled from the 3rd semester of higher education. The list published by the Company-School Integration Center (CIEE), the organizing body of the selection, includes the following degrees:

Offered in partnership with CIEE, the contracts for the paid internship positions without experience at IBGE will have a minimum duration of one semester and a maximum of two years. The selection process will be valid for one year, with the possibility of a one-year extension, during which members of the reserve list may be called.
The scholarship amounts are R$ 787.98 for a 20-hour workweek or 4 hours per day and R$ 1,125.69 for a 30-hour workweek or 6 hours per day. The internship at IBGE will take place from Monday to Friday, at times and shifts defined by the organization. Those interested will also have transportation assistance of R$ 10 per day.
Register for Internship Positions Without Experience
As mentioned earlier, the selection process is organized by CIEE, which will accept registrations through its website between May 8 and 23 until 12 pm, without charging any participation fee. According to the organization, upon completing the registration, the candidate will be ready to start the online test on the CIEE website.
All candidates will be selected, initially, through an online objective test, available during the same registration period, from May 8 to 23. Once logged into the test, the interested party will have an average of two minutes to answer each question.
How Will The Evaluations Of The IBGE Selection Process Take Place?
The exam for the internship positions will consist of 20 multiple-choice questions evenly distributed among Mathematics/Logical Reasoning, Portuguese Language, General Knowledge or Current Events, and Geography.
Each subject in the IBGE tests will contain 5 topics:
Portuguese Language
Spelling, punctuation, accentuation and usage, classification or flexion of words (noun, article, adjective, numeral, adverb, pronoun, conjunction, preposition, verb, interjection, among others).
Geography
General characteristics of Brazilian territory (geographical position, time zones, borders), formation of the national territory (expansion and economic cycles), regional division, political-administrative structure, and demography.
Mathematics/Logical Reasoning
First-degree equations, reasoning, percentages, ratios and proportions, descriptive statistics, simple rules of three, probability, sampling technology, and statistical inference.
The detailed list of guidelines and recommendations for taking the online tests is provided in item 6 of the announcement. Those approved in the exam will be invited to a final stage, which is the profile interview with the vacancy supervisor. According to the announcement, after being classified in the interview phase, the hiring process and the signing of the internship commitment term will begin.
