The IBGE (Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics) is preparing a new round of selection processes. There will be about 9.5 thousand temporary positions. To be approved, it is important to understand the evaluation stages. They will be different from the last IBGE competition featured in the “Enem of competitions.”
New IBGE Selection Process: Understand the Simplified Selection
These new selection processes from the IBGE are expected to be simpler. The format differs from the Unified National Competition (CNU). In the CNU, there were specific tests by thematic blocks. Now, the selection should occur more swiftly. The need to hire new temporary professionals is urgent for the IBGE.
The evaluation stages for these IBGE positions will consist of only one phase. An objective test will be applied. This test will have classificatory and eliminatory character. The exam will be multiple-choice. It will contain a total of 60 questions. Each question will present five answer options, with only one correct. Candidates will have approximately 4 hours to complete the test. The application will take place in 530 municipalities.

IBGE: 9,580 Temporary Positions for High School Level (APM and SCQ)
The IBGE will offer a total of 9,580 opportunities for this selection process. All positions are at the high school level. The goal is to strengthen the temporary staff of the agency. The positions will be distributed between two roles:
- 8,480 positions for Research and Mapping Agent (APM);
- 1,100 positions for Collection and Quality Supervisor (SCQ).
Projected Salaries and Definition of the Organizing Committee
The salaries for these temporary positions at the IBGE vary. Based on the latest announcements, the values range between R$ 2,676.24 and R$ 3,379.00. The IBGE has not yet chosen the organizing committee responsible for the selection process. Companies interested in conducting the selection have until May 5, 2025, to submit their proposals.
