O IFES has a new selection process with thousands of vacancies in free online courses. There are opportunities for Computer Operator, Basic English, Administrative Assistant and more.
O Federal Institute of Espírito Santo (IFES) recently announced the opening of registrations for free online qualification courses, which will be taught and developed through the distance learning modality (EAD). In total, the institution provides 1.560 vacancies for the general population. Through the professional qualification modality, IFES offers short distance learning courses that improve the curriculum and expand opportunities in the job market.

The new classes will be selected for entry in 2023, according to the notice published by the institute. Thanks to the flexibility offered by Distance Education, students can study anywhere and flexibly organize their own schedules.
The initial and continuing education courses (FIC), with open positions in the IFES selection process, are as follows:
Computer Operator (160h)
In this training, students acquire knowledge about basic computing, installation and configuration of software, operating system, text editor, electronic spreadsheet, among other important topics. The course requires incomplete secondary education and offers 240 places.
Event organizer (180h)
This course aims to train professionals to plan and organize public or private events. Those interested must have at least incomplete high school to participate in the selection process and compete for one of the 120 vacancies offered.
Basic English (60h)
This training aims to present the initial knowledge of the language, thus developing the basic level of fluency. The minimum education required is fundamental II, that is, from the 6th to the 9th grade, incomplete. There are 160 vacancies for this distance learning course.
Administrative assistant (175h)
With 200 open positions, this training aims to train professionals to carry out routine administrative tasks, such as issuing invoices, organizing files, registering, preparing reports, among others, and is aimed at those who have completed elementary school II.
Pedagogical Practices in Elementary School II (120h)
Being a course suitable for teachers, this training focuses on another stage of education. There are 400 vacancies available.
Pedagogical Practices in Elementary School I (120h)
Another course indicated for teachers who seek to learn more about active learning methodologies, acquiring a more extensive pedagogical view of the role in the classroom. In total, there are 440 vacancies open for training.
Learn how to enroll in IFES's free online and distance learning courses
O IFES states that enrollment in the distance learning courses of qualification can be made between November 24th and December 14th, through the official website of the institute. Those who are interested must access the page, fill out the form available within the deadline and send the required documents. There is no participation fee charged.
The selection process will take place through an electronic draw held on December 16, at 15 pm. Participants will be able to follow the result on YouTube.
The list of classified names will be announced on December 20, with a period for requesting funds. Finally, on February 3, 2023, the result will be published. The classes of the free online courses take place through the virtual learning environment.
