IFMA Is Accepting Applications for Free Online Courses. A Total of 800 Spots for Short-Term EAD Training.
The Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Maranhão (IFMA) is accepting applications for free online and EAD courses. In total, there are 800 spots available for free courses in Solid Waste Management, Small Business Management, Water and Effluent Treatment Operator, and Advanced Spanish. The EAD training also provides a certificate of completion, with 200 spots for each opportunity.
Requirements to Participate in the Free Online and EAD Courses at IFMA
The classes for the free EAD courses at IFMA will be held at the Advanced Campus Carolina. To compete, applicants must have completed primary education. However, for the Advanced Spanish course, in addition to primary education, an intermediate level in the language is required.
Applications for the IFMA courses with certificates can be made until July 31. Interested individuals must fill out a form with Full Name, Email, Date of Birth, Phone Number, and attach documents such as ID (front and back), Voter Registration, and proof of electoral obligations, CPF registration proof; if the ID document includes the CPF number, only the ID needs to be submitted.

The proof does not need to be in the candidate’s name, Intermediate Spanish Certificate for candidates in the Advanced Spanish course, and a recent 3×4 photo.
IFMA Selection Process for Admission to Free Online and EAD Courses
For those interested, there will be no exam, and the selection process for the free EAD courses at IFMA will be conducted through document analysis, in order of application.
This analysis will be carried out by each of the coordinations of the free online courses, the Educational Development Directorate, and the Technical Course Coordinators.
Candidates can check the results on the website, notice boards at IFMA Advanced Campus Carolina, and social media on August 8. This result can be appealed until August 9. The final result will be published on August 10.
Enrollment must be completed online from August 10 to 31. Those who do not complete the process will lose their spot, and additional candidates will be called. Free online courses with certificates will take place from September 1 to December 23. Classes will be held in the Virtual Learning Environment; however, there is a possibility that the Google Meet platform will be utilized in some sessions.
The course workload for EAD ranges from 80 to 200 hours, allowing students to plan to attend classes at their convenience. The proposed activities in the classes have deadlines for submission, which will also be done through the Virtual Learning Environment.
