The Federal Institute of Mato Grosso do Sul (IFMS) has opened applications for its selection process. In total, there will be 340 slots for free online courses at the Language Center (Cenid).

The free Initial and Continuing Education courses will be offered for the languages of Spanish, English, and Sign Language at a basic and intermediate level. The campuses covered were Aquidauana, Campo Grande, Dourados, Corumbá, Ponta Porã, Jardim, and Três Lagoas.
The 340 slots will be distributed among the general public, IFMS staff, and students. There are classes for beginners and ongoing classes (In this case, candidates for the free courses will need to take a placement test).

How to Register for the Free Courses at IFMS?
To register, candidates should visit the Candidate Page of the Selection Center, between June 7 and 30. Those who do not have a computer or internet access can request IFMS to provide all the infrastructure for attending online classes. For this, it will be necessary for the candidate to schedule an appointment to go to the desired campus in person.

Understand How the Placement Test for Free Courses at IFMS Works
As mentioned earlier, those who intend to apply for ongoing classes will need to take a placement test to assess their prior knowledge in the selected language. Candidates will be called for the placement test on July 1.
The planned dates for the application of the tests will be: from July 5 to 9, July 12 and 13. It is worth mentioning that, due to the pandemic, the tests will take place online.
According to the selection process schedule, on July 19, the final list of candidates approved in the lottery will be released, which will take place on the 20th. The preliminary result, with the classification of all registered candidates, will be published on July 22, and the final result, along with the first call, is scheduled for the 26th.
