During The Peak Of The Port Construction, The Generation Of 650 Direct Jobs And 300 Indirect Jobs Is Expected. The Timeline Forecast Is 3 Years For The Completion Of The First Phase Of The Work, Which Will Include The Handling Of Containers And General Cargo. Imetame is authorized to install its terminal at the Port of Aracruz, in the North of Espírito Santo – ES. The project promises to generate many job vacancies in the region, about 650 direct jobs and more 300 indirect jobs at the beginning of the works for all education levels. The overall idea is that by the end of the project, the company will create a total of 2,590 job opportunities as highlighted above.

The job vacancies will be for both the port construction operations, which are expected to last around three years, and for normal activities. Construction will begin in the coming days, and only for the first phase, 950 job vacancies will be offered, both directly and indirectly. In total, about R$ 1 billion will be invested in the Port of Aracruz.

According to Imetame, at the peak of the port construction, 650 direct jobs and 300 indirect jobs will be created. When the works in Aracruz are completed, there will be around 640 direct job vacancies and another 1,000 indirect ones during operations. Hiring for the port works will be done through the National Employment System (Sine) of Aracruz.

The Importance Of The New Port In Aracruz – ES

The project had been waiting for authorization from the Secretariat of Heritage of the Union (SPU) for about a year, which ceded the land located at kilometer 58 of ES-010, in Barra do Sahy, Aracruz. According to Cristhine Samorini, the president of the Federation of Industries of the State of Espírito Santo (Findes), the Port of Aracruz project is essential for the state, as it promises to create a new maritime logistics channel that will allow for the docking of larger ships than those arriving at the Port of Vitória.

According to Tyago Hoffmann, Secretary of State for Science, Technology, Innovation, Professional Education, and Economic Development, the Imetame port is a strategic project for the logistics of the state’s ports.

According to Hoffmann, the port will strengthen international trade and also assist the number of containers and cargo that will be handled in Espírito Santo.

Imetame’s Works And Job Creation For The State Of ES

The Imetame project has an area of over 1 million square meters and will have the capacity to receive large vessels. This new venture will have a depth of 17 meters and will be the option for long-haul routes that operate with large vessels in the country and will also cater to the next generation of container ships, New Post Panamax.
