Who Can Register
Candidates who have completed Elementary School can participate for the integrated offers.
Meanwhile, the concurrent/subsequent spots require candidates to be attending the 2nd or 3rd year of high school or to have completed that stage.
The process is aimed at students from the region and other cities who wish to pursue public and free technical training .
Calendar, Fees, and Exemption
Registrations are open until October 20.
The fee is R$ 60 for integrated courses and R$ 30 for other modalities.
Candidates with a family income of up to 1.5 minimum wage (R$ 2,277.00) who have completed all of Elementary School in public school, or in private school with a full scholarship, can request exemption until October 1.
The payment and any proof for exemption must follow the guidelines of the registration form on the Foundation’s platform.
How the Selection Will Be Made
The selection will have an exam on December 7, held in the municipality of the chosen campus.
The exam will last 3 hours and consist of 30 multiple-choice questions, covering contents of Portuguese Language and Mathematics from 6th to 9th grade of Elementary School.
The performance on this assessment will determine the ranking of candidates by course and modality, respecting the offered spots and the affirmative action rules set out in the announcement.
What Changed in the 2026 Selection Process
For this edition, the IFSP has incorporated operational and service adjustments.
Test-takers can now take the exam for self-assessment, even without having completed Elementary School, without competing for an actual spot.
Additionally, the candidate can select up to three courses within the same modality at the time of registration, expanding allocation alternatives according to their score.
In public service, the announcement provides for enhanced support for people with disabilities and other candidates who need specific conditions, with guidance on requests and deadlines.
In affirmative actions, the quota system now offers more autonomy to the candidate, who indicates which categories they wish to compete in, according to their profile and documentation.
Another informed point is the improvement of heteroidentification, a verification stage of ethnic-racial self-declarations, with more detailed parameters and committee procedures to ensure greater transparency and rigor in the process.
Spots and Courses in Cubatão
The Cubatão campus has 140 spots.
In the integrated modality, there are three offers for those who have already completed Elementary School:
- Technical in Events in the afternoon (4 years, 40 spots)
- Technical in Computer Science in the morning (4 years, 40 spots)
- Technical in Computer Science in the afternoon (4 years, 40 spots)
For concurrent/subsequent, the option is the Technical in Industrial Automation, in the evening, with 4 semesters of duration and 40 spots, aimed at those in the 2nd or 3rd year of high school or who have already completed it.
By bringing together training in events and computer science in the integrated modality, the campus caters to distinct profiles: those looking to work in production and organization of cultural and corporate activities and those aiming for software development, support, and networks.
The offering of industrial automation in the evening, in turn, facilitates access for students who work during the day.
Spots and Courses in Registro
At the Registro campus, there are 240 spots.
In the integrated modality, the training is full-time and covers three areas:
- Technical in Civil Engineering (3 years, 40 spots)
- Technical in Logistics (3 years, 40 spots)
- Technical in Mechatronics (3 years, 40 spots)
For concurrent/subsequent, there are:
- Technical in Civil Engineering in the evening (4 semesters, 40 spots)
- Technical in Logistics in the evening (3 semesters, 40 spots)
- Technical in Mechatronics in the evening (4 semesters, 40 spots)
The pathways in civil engineering and mechatronics meet demands in infrastructure and industry, while logistics focuses on supply chains, storage, and distribution.
The combination of full-time and evening offerings aims to accommodate different routines, maintaining the necessary hours for technical content and general training.
Classification Criteria and Affirmative Actions
Classification is based on the exam score, within the number of spots per course and modality.
The quota rules follow the guidelines for affirmative actions, allowing candidates to choose the categories in which they qualify.
In cases involving ethnic-racial self-declaration, heteroidentification will occur according to the procedures in the announcement, which may include verification steps by an appointed committee.
Failure to meet documentary requirements may result in denial of the analysis.
What to Consider Before Choosing a Course
The decision should consider shift, duration, and educational trajectory.
In the integrated courses, students take both high school and technical training simultaneously, with extended hours and a unified curriculum.
The concurrent and subsequent modalities are aimed at those in high school or those who have already completed it, focusing on technical subjects and providing greater flexibility for those who work.
It is also important to observe the city of the campus and the logistics of transportation, especially for full-time courses.
How to Register
Registration must be done exclusively on the Fundação Cefetminas system, which is responsible for the registrations.
To avoid setbacks, candidates need to fill in their data correctly, attach documents when requested, and verify modality, course, and campus before finalizing.
It is also recommended to check the exam location indicated on the receipt and to follow official announcements until the results are released.
Still have questions about which path to take or which campus to register for to take advantage of the 400 free spots from IFSP in this selection process?
