Free Course at IFB in Financial Market Opens E-Learning Positions with Simplified Selection, Night Classes, and Federal Certification, Targeted at Young People and Adults Interested in Finance, Investments, and Capital Market, with Online Registration and Start of Classes Scheduled for February.

The Federal Institute of Brasília (IFB), at the Ceilândia Campus, has opened registrations for the Free Course in Financial Market and Capital, offered in a 100% distance learning format, with 50 spots available for admission in the first academic semester of 2026, according to the public notice released by the institution.

Enrollment is done exclusively online, without the application of a test or assessment of academic performance, and the filling of spots occurs according to the order of submission of the electronic form, provided all required documentation is correctly submitted within the established deadline.

The public notice indicates that classes are set to begin on February 5, 2026, while the list of enrolled candidates and the waiting list will be published on February 3, following the official schedule provided by IFB.

The announcement also emphasizes that the course is completely free, with no enrollment fee, tuition, or any other cost throughout the program, which increases access for students and workers interested in the financial area.

How the Distance Learning Course in Financial Market and Capital Works

The training is classified as a Initial Training course, with a total workload of 60 hours and an expected duration of one academic semester, structured to provide an organized introduction to the main topics of the financial market.

Activities take place in the evening and combine live meetings with content provided in a virtual learning environment, allowing students to participate without the need to commute to the campus.

According to the public notice, synchronous classes occur on Wednesdays, from 7 PM to 8:40 PM, followed by asynchronous activities, conducted in the virtual environment, from 8:40 PM to 10:20 PM, making up the weekly workload of the course.

The consulted document does not detail the complete syllabus for the training, limiting itself to describing the course name, total workload, delivery format, and basic entry requirements.

Distribution of Vacancies and Selection Criteria

In total, 50 spots are offered for the Financial Market and Capital course in the distance learning format, distributed between open competition and legal reserve as stipulated in the public notice.

Of this total, 47 spots are designated for open competition, while 3 spots are reserved for people with disabilities (PwD), according to the inclusion policy adopted by IFB.

The selection does not involve a written test or assessment of academic history, being based exclusively on the order of submission of the electronic form, respecting the limit of available spots for each modality.

However, early submission of the form does not automatically guarantee a spot, as the confirmation of enrollment depends on the full compliance with the requirements and the correct submission of the required documentation within the defined deadline.

Who Can Register for the IFB Course

To compete for one of the spots, candidates must be at least 17 years old at the time of enrollment and prove completion of the 2nd year of high school, as per the explicit requirement in the public notice.

The document does not mention the possibility of enrollment for those still in this stage, making the proof of schooling an important point for those interested before completing the registration.

As it is a distance learning program, participation requires access to the internet and a device compatible with online activities, although, for selection purposes, the formal criteria described in the public notice prevail.

How to Register for the IFB Distance Learning Course

The registration period occurs exclusively online, starting at 10 AM on January 12, 2026 and ending at 5 PM on January 23, 2026, according to the official timeline of the public notice released by IFB.

Only forms submitted within this timeframe will be considered valid for classification purposes, strictly adhering to the cutoff times provided by the institution.

The selection is made by order of submission of the electronic form, without the application of a test or analysis of academic history, provided the candidate meets all requirements and submits the required documentation correctly.

Stage Date
Opening of Registration January 12, 2026, at 10 AM
Closing of Registration January 23, 2026, at 5 PM
Disclosure of Enrolled Students and Waiting List February 3, 2026
Start of Classes February 5, 2026

To complete the enrollment, the candidate must attach legible documents, digitized in PDF format, as per the instructions in the public notice.

Among the requested items are photo identification, proof of schooling, recent 3×4 photo, Tax ID (CPF), if not included in the official document, and proof of residence with ZIP code or a handwritten declaration.

Candidates opting for spots reserved for people with disabilities must present a medical report, indicating the CID-10, as specified in the public notice.

In the case of minors, documentation of the legal guardian is also required, following the instructions provided by the institution.
