The Federal Institute of Alagoas (IFAL) announced the opening of a new selection process to fill 3 vacancies for substitute teachers. The job vacancies at the Federal Institute are for Structures/ Civil Construction (1), Hydraulics (1), and Basic Informatics (1). In total, there are two open notices, one for the Palmeira dos Índios Campus and Batalha Campus.

The Palmeira dos Índios campus has vacancies for Substitute Teacher in the area of Structures/ Civil Construction, where a degree in Civil Engineering is required. There are also vacancies for teachers in the field of Hydraulics, where a degree in Civil Engineering, Water Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Sanitary Engineering, or Environmental and Sanitary Engineering is required.
The Batalha Campus has job vacancies for substitute teachers in the area of basic informatics, where a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Systems Analysis and Development, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computing, Software Engineering, Computer Networks, Information Security, Information Technology Management, or in Informatics is required.

Those approved for the positions as IFAL teachers must work in face-to-face courses, in the modalities of basic education, that is, integrated technical courses, subsequent courses, and Youth and Adult Education (EJA) and undergraduate courses according to the institution’s demands, developing academic activities in teaching, innovation, research, and extension with priority attention to educational demands.
Furthermore, the teachers will be responsible for participating in the elaboration of IFAL’s pedagogical proposal, caring for the students’ learning, developing and fulfilling the work plan, according to IFAL’s pedagogical proposal.
How to Participate in the Selection Process of the Federal Institute – IFAL
Applications for the job vacancies selection process of the Federal Institute must be made between July 12 and 21 by 11:59 PM on the IFAL website.
The selection will consist of a titles exam and a teaching performance exam. The practical exam is scheduled to take place on August 9, 2024. The selection processes for teacher vacancies will be valid for six months, and may be extended for an equal period.
To apply for the positions, you must be at least 18 years old, be up to date with electoral and military obligations (if male), hold a degree in the relevant area, among other requirements. There are reserved vacancies for people with disabilities (PWD) and black candidates, as specified in the notices.
The remuneration for those approved in the selection process will be R$ 3,412.53, with a workload of 40 hours. In addition, the selected candidates will be entitled to a food allowance of R$ 658.00, pre-school assistance of R$ 321.00, among other benefits specified in the notice.
