Instituto Federal Farroupilha Opens Free Enrollment for Subsequent Technical Courses, with 860 Vacancies Available in Different Modalities. Selection Will Be Made by Electronic Lottery and Enrollment Runs Until October 16, 2025.
The Federal Institute Farroupilha (IFFar) opened the 2026 Selection Process for Subsequent Technical Courses and reserved 500 free vacancies in the distance learning modality, within a total of 860 opportunities.
The choice of candidates will take place by electronic lottery on November 17, 2025, starting at 2 PM.
Who Can Participate
The subsequent courses are intended for those who have already completed high school.

Senar offers more than 450 vacancies in free technical courses in the areas of Agriculture, Forestry, Animal Science, Agribusiness, and Occupational Safety in Agriculture; the opportunities are available in both in-person and hybrid formats through Senar MS.
Proof of completion occurs during enrollment, according to the rules of the announcement and the registration system.
For candidates using quotas, it is necessary to observe the guidelines regarding specific documentation, including procedures for self-identification and medical examination provided in the schedule.
Where the Distance Learning Vacancies Are
The 500 distance vacancies are distributed across campuses and face-to-face support centers.
At the Alegrete Campus, the Agroindustry offers 80 vacancies, with activities linked to the campus itself and the São Gabriel Reference Center.
The same unit concentrates 80 vacancies in Computer Networks.
Also in the region, Maintenance and Support in IT adds up to 60 vacancies, served by the Reference Centers Santiago and São Gabriel.
In Panambi, the Agribusiness offers 40 vacancies.
In the Northwest, the Santa Rosa Campus combines 120 vacancies in Administration, distributed among the Candelária, Giruá, and the campus itself.
At the São Borja Campus, the Tour Guide offers 40 vacancies.
And in the Central region, São Vicente do Sul concentrates 80 vacancies in Food.
When summing up the distance offerings, we reach a total of 500 vacancies expected for enrollment in the first semester of 2026.
In-Person Offer Also Confirmed
In addition to the distance vacancies, IFFar maintains 360 in-person vacancies in subsequent courses distributed across the campuses of the network.
The division between modalities and the total of 860 vacancies is included in the informational material of the admission process, which gathers, in one place, courses, campuses, and available locations for 2026.
Schedule: Key Dates Not to Miss
The enrollment period runs from September 10 to October 16, 2025.
After this stage, the organization will call, on October 22, self-declared Black and Brown candidates for self-identification.
On October 23, it will publish the result of the document analysis of people registered under the disability quota.
The self-identifications will occur between October 23, 24, 28, and 29.
The in-person medical examinations, if any, on October 29 and 30.
The preliminary list of applicants will be released on November 4, with an appeal period on November 5.
The final list will be published on November 14.
The electronic lottery will take place on November 17, 2025, at 2 PM.
The 1st call will be published on November 19, with confirmation of vacancies from November 19 to December 2.
Preliminary and final results of this confirmation will be released on December 8 and 15, respectively.
The 2nd call will be released on December 16, with confirmation from December 16 to 29 and finalized results by January 13, 2026.
Quota System and Documentation
IFFar reserves vacancies for graduates of public schools and community schools in Rural Education, for people with disabilities, for candidates Black, Brown, Indigenous, and Quilombola, in addition to considering income criteria.
The supporting documentation must be attached at the time of registration and confirmed within the deadlines indicated in the schedule.
In the case of self-identification, participation occurs on the defined dates with publication of results and appeals according to the official calendar.
