The Goiânia Campus of the Federal Institute of Goiás (IFG) has launched the Announcement No. 28/2025 for the hiring of temporary substitute professors, offering 6 positions in various areas, with a workload of 20 or 40 hours per week.
The initiative aims to meet urgent teaching demands and provide academic opportunities for qualified professionals, with salaries ranging from R$ 3,090.43 to R$ 8,058.29, in addition to benefits such as food assistance, transportation, and preschool assistance.
The positions are distributed in the following areas: Arts/Music – Bassoon (20h), Arts/Music – Horn (20h), Mining Engineering (20h), History (40h – position reserved for PWD), Computer Science/System Development (40h), and Mechanical/Thermal Engineering and Fluids (40h).

How to Apply for the Selection Process of the Federal Institute?
Interested parties must submit their applications exclusively via the Internet, on the Federal Institute (IFG) Competitions page, section Substitute/Temporary Professor – Goiânia Campus, between September 18 and October 1, 2025.
After completing the form, the candidate must issue the bank slip in the amount of R$ 40 and make the payment by October 2, at any bank branch.
Stages of the Selection Process
The selection process for becoming a professor at the Federal Institute will be conducted in two stages:
- Document Analysis (non-presential stage): The candidate must upload the required documents and a photo ID via the platform between September 18 and October 2. The results will be announced on October 9.
- Didactic Performance Exam with Questioning (presential stage): Those who pass the document analysis will take the exam on October 13. The virtual draw for the topic, schedules, and rooms will be announced on October 10.
The final result of the process will be published on October 21, 2025, determining the hired substitute professors for each area.
Remuneration and Benefits
The remuneration depends on the workload and qualifications of the professor:
- 20 weekly hours with a bachelor’s degree: R$ 3,090.43
- 40 weekly hours with a doctorate: up to R$ 8,058.29
In addition to the base salary, substitute professors receive food assistance (R$ 500 for 20h and R$ 1,000 for 40h), transportation assistance, and preschool assistance, enhancing the appreciation and support for temporary professionals.
