2W Energia obtains concession from Aneel for the Kairós Wind Wind Complex in Ceará. With the authorization, the company will be able to start work on the park, which will have the capacity to serve around 652 homes per month.
Billionaire investment in the Northeast! This month, 2W Energia received a grant from Aneel (National Electric Energy Agency) to implement and explore wind power generation at the Kairós Wind Complex, located in the municipality of Icapuí, Ceará. Based on this approval, the company can start work on the installation of the park, which represents an investment of R$ 1,4 billion.

With 261 MW of installed power, the Kairós Wind Complex, in Ceará, will be able to serve 652 thousand homes per month, avoiding the emission of 590 thousand tons of CO2 per year. The start of power generation is from the first half of 2023.

“By obtaining this grant for the Kairós project, in Ceará, 2W Energia consolidates and advances, with a total of 400MW in implementation, in its renewable energy generation initiatives for retail in the free market. The company anticipates the needs of consumers, who are increasingly looking for cost-effective, conscious and sustainable choices,” says Cláudio Ribeiro, the company's CEO.
The Kairós Complex, in Ceará, is the second wind generation park under construction by 2W Energia. The Anemus Wind Complex, located in Rio Grande do Norte, is expected to start operating in the second half of this year, with a generation capacity of 138,6 MW. The volume supplies up to 365 homes.
