Pro Line Bets on Maximum Performance with A19 Pro, Powerful Front Camera and Unique Thermal Dissipation System in iPhones
The new iPhone 17 will be launched soon, and rumors about the upcoming models are already generating debates among Apple fans.
The company is expected to abandon the Plus model and, in its place, introduce the iPhone 17R, which promises to be an ultrathin device.

Four Models Expected to Be Announced
The line is expected to include four models: iPhone 17R, iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max — which may be called iPhone 17 Ultra.
The highlight will be the 17R, which should have only 5.5 mm thickness.
However, the battery of this model will be significantly reduced, with an estimated capacity between 2800 and 3000 mAh.
The iPhone 17R’s design follows a line similar to what Samsung did with the Galaxy S25, prioritizing a thin body.
But the choice raises doubts about the device’s autonomy and efficiency, especially since there are rumors that Apple is already preparing a case with extra battery to compensate for the low capacity.
End of Titanium and New Materials Combination
Another expected change is the substitution of titanium with an aluminum alloy.
The models are expected to have a construction that mixes glass and metal.
This combination aims to modernize the look while reducing costs and facilitating mass production.
The design may also undergo minor changes in the camera module and the cutout for the front camera. All models should come with the Dynamic Island interface, which has already appeared in previous generations.
New Names May Confuse
There are rumors that Apple may change the line’s name to iPhone 26, aligning it with the iOS 26 system.
The idea would be to unify the numbers with the release year. However, this possibility still seems distant, as it might cause confusion in the market.
Cameras Receive Subtle Improvements
The cameras are also expected to undergo some updates. The front camera of all models is expected to jump from 12 to 24 megapixels.
The Pro and Pro Max models may gain telephoto cameras with 48 megapixels, along with the main and ultra-wide lenses also having this resolution.
The iPhone 17 is expected to maintain two rear cameras: one main and one ultra-wide. The 17R is expected to come with only one 48 MP lens.
Apple is believed to be focusing on internal improvements, such as enhanced image processing and the ability to shoot in 8K.
A19 Chip Arrives for All Models
In terms of performance, the new iPhones are expected to be equipped with the A19 chip.
In the Pro models, the version will be the A19 Pro, with gains of up to 30% in GPU and 20% in CPU, according to estimates based on typical Apple advancements.
All devices are expected to be built with 3-nanometer architecture, the same as the previous generation, but with internal adjustments that ensure greater efficiency.
Memory and Cooling
Another relevant point is the RAM. The entry-level models are expected to come with 8 GB, while the Pro and Pro Max will have 12 GB.
This would maintain the differentiation between the lines, preventing the more basic models from directly competing with the Pro.
In the more advanced models, Apple is also expected to introduce a vapor chamber for cooling. This type of system helps maintain performance in heavy tasks, such as high-resolution video recording or demanding games.
Faster Charging and New Screens
Apple is also expected to implement improvements in charging, with support for up to 35W, which represents a 30% gain compared to the current 25W. All models are expected to have LTP AMOLED screens with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, including the more basic ones.
Additionally, there are rumors that the Pro models’ screens will feature anti-reflective technology and improved durability, exclusive to this line.
Sizes and Redesigned Design
The iPhone 17 may have a 6.1-inch display. The 17R is expected to come with 6.6 inches. The Pro and Pro Max will maintain sizes similar to previous models, but with adjustments to the finish.
Apple is exploring introducing a new format for the camera module and even a slider button on the side for zoom control — although this last feature is still uncertain.
Possible Lens with Variable Aperture
In the Pro Max model, there may be a lens with variable aperture. This would allow manual adjustment of light entry, ideal for low-light situations.
However, there’s no confirmation that Apple will adopt this feature, as it deviates from the company’s simplified standard regarding photography.
Expected Colors and Prices
The colors also promise new options. Among the expected shades are black, white, light blue, pale yellow, and bronze.
In the Pro line, there may be deep blue, copper orange, and fluorescent orange. Still, colors such as gray and silver are expected to remain available.
Regarding prices, the expectation is that the iPhone 17 will cost between US$ 799 and US$ 899. The Pro may start at US$ 999 and the Pro Max could reach up to US$ 1299. Rumors indicate increases of up to US$ 200 on some models, but this is still uncertain.
No Foldable iPhone for Now
Despite expectations for a foldable model, there are no indications that it will be launched in this generation. Apple still seems to have not found a clear justification to enter this market, even with the evolution of competitors.
Focus on User Experience
Even with subtle changes, Apple continues to invest in improvements that impact daily use. Enhancements in camera, performance, and design are expected to maintain consumer interest.
User loyalty remains one of the brand’s biggest assets.
