Jeep’s Seven-Seat SUV Hits the Brazilian Market with Updated Design, More Equipment in Top Versions, and a New More Competitive Price List.

Jeep launches the 2026 line of the Commander in Brazil. The seven-seat SUV receives an update in design and new equipment. The main news, however, is the drop of up to R$ 19 thousand in the price list. The 2026 Jeep Commander now starts at R$ 220,990.

Updated Visual and More Aggressive Prices: What Changes in the SUV?

The 2026 Jeep Commander adopts a more modern and imposing style. The car features a new front grille with geometric details. The LED headlights have been redesigned and are now slimmer. The bumper is also new, with air intakes that enhance the brand’s robust identity. At the rear, the main change is the new LED taillights. They stretch from end to end, creating an elegant visual signature.

The new pricing strategy is one of the most relevant aspects of the launch. The model underwent a reduction of up to R$ 19 thousand. The entry-level version, Longitude T270, now costs R$ 220,990. The top version, Blackhawk Hurricane, is priced at R$ 324,990, representing a reduction of R$ 16 thousand. Additionally, the car lost the 5-seat Longitude version and the Overland with the Hurricane engine.

Interior and Technology: Enhanced Comfort and Safety

With sophisticated leather and suede finishes, the interior of the 2026 Jeep Commander receives technological enhancements such as a 360° camera and a new rotary shifter in the top versions.

Internally, the 2026 Commander received subtle enhancements. The Overland and Blackhawk versions now feature 360° camera. This feature is useful for urban maneuvers and off-road navigation. Another new feature in the top versions, such as the Overland Turbodiesel and the Blackhawk Hurricane, is the new rotary shifter. The rotary control replaces the traditional lever, optimizing space in the center console.

The model reinforces its premium appeal with leather and suede seats. The interior finish is sophisticated across all versions. The Commander continues to be equipped with the Level 2 ADAS autonomous driving package. It includes collision warning with automatic braking, blind spot detection, and adaptive cruise control. The SUV comes with six or seven airbags, a 10.25-inch digital panel, and 10.1-inch multimedia with integrated Alexa.

Versions and Engines: The New Range of the 2026 Commander

The 2026 line arrives with strategically positioned versions and standard items.

  • Longitude T270: Features a new design for 18-inch wheels, 6 airbags, Level 2 ADAS, and electric tailgate opening. The engine is the 1.3 turbo with 176 hp.
  • Limited T270: Adds 7 airbags, blind spot monitoring, induction charger, and Adventure Intelligence system.
  • Overland T270: Includes 360° camera, 19-inch wheels, panoramic sunroof, and brown leather seats.
  • Overland 2.2 Turbodiesel: Retains items from the Overland Flex and adds the new rotary shifter, 200 hp turbodiesel engine, and 4×4 traction.
  • Blackhawk Hurricane: Distinguishes itself with the Hurricane 2.0T engine with 272 hp, red brake calipers, and black finishes.

Performance On and Off the Road

The exterior of the 2026 Jeep Commander features a more robust and elegant design, marked by the new front grille, sharp LED headlights, and new taillights that stretch from end to end.

The 2026 Jeep Commander was tested on roads in Argentina. The SUV had no mechanical changes and maintains a consistent behavior. The suspension balances comfort and stability in curves well. The model with 2.0 Hurricane engine, with 272 hp, delivers the expected power, but the fuel consumption is high.

The off-road capability of the Commander is very good. A unit with a 2.2 turbodiesel engine tackled a rocky stretch and the dry bed of a river. The 4×4 traction and Hill Descent Control (HDC) were essential to overcoming obstacles. The 360° camera, available only in the more expensive versions, proved to be a valuable tool for visualizing blind spots on trails and enhancing safety.
