The Multinational LG Is Already Testing the New 6G Technology, Which Promises to Be More Intelligent, Immersive, and Global, Being 50 Times Faster Than the Newly Arrived 5G.
With the arrival of 5G network installations in much of the world’s industries, some companies are already making investments focused on the development of the next generation of mobile internet. Currently, the multinational LG is one of the most advanced companies in the evolution of the new 6G technology. The network is already being tested by the company.
6G Technology Reaches Frequencies of 155 to 175 GHz
According to an official statement released by the multinational LG last Wednesday (14), it was possible to successfully transmit and receive wireless data with 6G terahertz (THz) technology during a test at the Fraunhofer Heinrich Hertz Institute (HHI) in Berlin, Germany.
LG claims that the signal was in the frequency range of 155 – 175 GHz and reached a distance of 320 meters outdoors, which is seen as an important step for the sale of 6G THz technology in urban indoor and outdoor areas.

Researchers in the U.S. have created a flying robot that transforms into a land vehicle while still in the air. The technology, based on aerodynamic transition, converts landing into a scene worthy of Transformers and redefines mobility between sky and ground.

Spread across two continents, with 197 parabolic antennas in South Africa, 131,000 2-meter antennas in Australia, and a range of up to 150 km, the SKA begins to “listen” to the Universe on an unprecedented scale and accelerates the search for black holes, primitive galaxies, and nearly invisible radio signals.

The Brazilian Army inaugurated the assembly line for the Guaicurus armored vehicle with a contract for 420 units by 2033, and the same vehicle has already been tested in combat in Afghanistan and Lebanon by European armies.
According to the multinational, what makes this achievement essential is that, in this type of sector, a distance of up to 250 meters outdoors is expected.
6G Technology Can Be 50x Faster Than 5G
Despite the distance achieved in the test, the company points out that the range of 6G technology is very limited compared to that of 5G, due to the fact that it leverages ultra-wideband frequencies.
Because of this, the LG multinational team, along with the members of the HHI institute, created low-noise power amplifiers that improve the quality of the input signal.
In its statement, LG asserts that the expectation is that the new 6G technology will start to be standardized from 2025, with the sale of the technology planned for 2030.
Although a significant advancement in peak speeds compared to 5G is expected, with new information showing rates up to 50 times higher and 10 times lower latency, the focus of the 6G network should not be its speed, but rather more immersion, globalization, and intelligence.
6G Technology Will Reach the Market in 2030
5G Internet is still being installed in industries in Brazil, but 6G is already showing significant progress, potentially reaching the market as early as 2030.
The world’s largest telecommunications operator, China Mobile, has released a technical study proposing the architecture and design for the next generation of mobile internet.
The infrastructure project aims to bring speed gains of up to 100 times compared to the current 5G, in addition to greater reliability.
