Brazilian Consumers Start Receiving Kitchen Gas (LPG) From Argentina at Their Tables Through Copagaz
Copagaz signed an agreement to become the first private distributor in Brazil to import kitchen gas, or liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), by ship in partnership with Transportadora de Gas del Sur (TGS) from Argentina. The expectation of Brazilians is that this new acquisition will lower the price of kitchen gas.

Even in 2019, when the largest company in the liquefied natural gas segment in Brazil decided to acquire Liquigás, it had already negotiated with Bolivia regarding truck importation.
In 2019, Copagaz signed a contract for the importation of 72,000 tons of kitchen gas per year. Now that the company has significant partnerships with Argentina and Bolivia, it has decided not to stop there and intends to capture more of the Brazilian LPG market in the coming years.

The company, which became the leader in kitchen gas or liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) distribution, was founded around 1955 in the Campo Grande region (MS). Copagaz ended up being one of the first companies at that time to distribute one ton of LPG daily in the regions of Mato Grosso do Sul, São Paulo, and Mato Grosso.
Currently, the company has a total of 15 business units concerning bottling, 2 units to distribute and serve the public, 1 station for resale, 9 units to store bulk LPG, and finally, a network to serve residences and businesses.
With this extensive distribution network, Copagaz manages to distribute an average of over 50 million LPG to homes, shopping centers, and much more.
