According to information from the Brazilian Association of Information Technology and Communication Companies (Brasscom), between 2019 and 2024 it would be necessary to hire, on average, 70,000 people per year to meet the needs of this market, with 40,000 professionals being trained each year.

The initiative’s proposal is to generate generational inclusion at Luizalabs, training programmers for an area that suffers from labor shortages, and also to include professionals aged 40 or older, who are also affected by the difficulties of the job market. At Luizalabs, Magalu’s technology department, only 14.2% of professionals are 40 years old or older. With the course, the company takes another step towards a more diverse and inclusive work environment.
