During the meeting, Júnior Friboi highlighted the relevance of aviation for business. He stated that the expansion of JBS was only possible due to investments in the air transport mode.
The entrepreneur recalled that aviation allowed the company to cross borders and connect continents, which directly contributed to the group’s growth.
For him, the internationalization of Antares would elevate Goiás to another level, creating a direct connection with the global market.
Júnior Friboi also criticized the difficulties and bureaucracy faced at Goiânia airport for executive flights, stressing that a new airport would emerge as a strategic opportunity.
The entrepreneur stated that credibility and management sustain the success of any investment. He emphasized the importance of a solid track record of trust in the market and expressed interest in deepening his understanding of the project to assess the possibility of investing.
Finally, Júnior Friboi expressed his interest in investing in the Antares Aeronautical Pole project. “Aviation is essential for the development of business and the project I saw here is very beautiful”. “I would like to learn a little more about the project so that, who knows, we can invest in this venture as well“, stated the entrepreneur.

Project Receives Upgrade to Expand Operations
The Superintendent of Safety and Operations of Antares, João Marcos Coelho, presented the changes made to the project.
According to him, the upgrade expands business prospects with a focus on medium- and long-term investments. The adjustments are based on technical studies developed by Infraway, a company specializing in airport infrastructure.
Among the changes is the preparation of the airport to operate aircraft such as Boeing 737-800 and Airbus A320. This transforms Antares into a project with national reach and future possibilities for internationalization.
João Marcos stated that the process follows the PDCA method, which involves planning, doing, checking, and acting, and that the execution phase revealed opportunities for expansion.
Runway Gains Significant Expansion
The runway will now be 2,000 meters long and 30 meters wide, with PCN 49. The project also provides the possibility of extension up to 2,400 meters and 45 meters in width, should demand increase.
João Marcos highlighted that the runway is the main pillar of an airport and explained that the expansion increases operational capacity.
He recalled that the runway was extended from 1,800 to 2,000 meters and that the master plan reserves a safe area for future expansion up to 2,400 meters.
New Operational Areas Strengthen the Enterprise
Another important change is the implementation of a motor check area, intended for quick tests and maintenance. The superintendent explained that this space is essential for an airport with Antares’ profile, which will also offer maintenance services.
The taxiway areas have also been expanded to 40 and 50 meters, ensuring adequate circulation for larger-winged aircraft. According to João Marcos, these internal runways connect aircraft to the hangars and strengthen operational infrastructure.
The forecast is that the runway will be delivered in the second half of 2026. Operations are expected to begin in the first half of 2027, after ANAC approval.
