Cefet-RJ Published Announcement with Technical Course Slots for High School Available at Eight Units in Rio de Janeiro

On December 15, applications were opened for the technical high school courses at the Federal Center for Technological Education of Rio de Janeiro (Cefet-RJ). A total of 1,058 spots are available for the 2022 school year.

The technical high school courses are a great option for those who intend to enter the job market as soon as possible. This is because the student who takes this type of course obtains, at the same time, a high school education and training in a technical course. And, at Cefet-RJ, all of this can be done for free.

Available Free Technical Courses

The slots for the technical high school courses are available at the following Cefet-RJ units:

– Angra dos Reis: 80 slots available for the mechanics course

– Itaguaí: 80 slots also available for mechanics

– Rio/Maracanã: there are 512 slots available for the following courses

– Rio/Maria da Graça: 90 slots for the areas of industrial automation, automotive maintenance, and occupational safety

– Nova Iguaçu: 160 slots, among which are the courses:

Information Technology
Telecommunications

– Petrópolis: in the imperial city, there are 36 slots for the telecommunications technical course

– Valença: the food and chemistry technical courses have 60 slots available

How to Register

Applications for the free technical high school courses at Cefet-RJ can be made on the Coordinating Office for Competitions website of the institution until 3 PM on January 7, 2022. The selection draw results are expected to be announced after 6 PM on January 17, also on the Institute’s website.

The enrollment period for those selected will be from January 20 to 27 and must be done virtually, with the submission of the documents specified in the announcement to the corresponding institution for the chosen course.
