In Espírito Santo, The Ports of Vitória and Barra do Riacho Have Been Placed in Public Consultation for Concession
The Federal Government held a public consultation yesterday on the concession of the ports of Vitória and Barra do Riacho, in Espírito Santo. The concession model developed by the National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES) foresees that, over the 35 years of validity, the mandatory investment will exceed 1.6 billion reais.

The concession is part of the privatization of Codesa, which, in addition to being sold by the Union, will also authorize port operations under its management.
Of the 1.6 billion invested, 63 million reais will be used for infrastructure restoration, 530 million reais for the operation and maintenance of the company, 772 million reais for maintaining the ports of Vitória and Barra do Riacho, and 290 million reais to improve access to the port.

Federation of Industries of Espírito Santo Supports the Privatization of the Ports of Vitória and Barra do Riacho
The Findes – Federation of Industries of the State of Espírito Santo, is supporting the privatization of the ports of Vitória and Barra do Riacho, which are currently managed by the Espírito Santo Dock Company (Codesa). The federation’s president, Cris Samorir, states that they will cooperate in the search for the best model to meet the development of the industry in the pursuit of efficient logistics in various trade and markets.
Cris Samorini states, “The Industry Interest Defense area of FINDES aims to promote the necessary institutional interactions for the full development of the industrial potential of Espírito Santo. The Interest Defense has been following the entire development process of defining a model for greater private participation in the management activities of the Organized Ports administered by CODESA.”
