The Brazilian Navy Is Offering New Temporary Job Openings in Various Areas of Activity, Without the Need for a Public Competition, with Salaries That Can Reach R$ 21 Thousand Monthly.

In 2023, the Brazilian Navy began the selection process for RM3 officers. It’s important to emphasize that this is not a public competition, but rather a selection process intended for professionals who already have higher education. The vacancies without a competition are open to candidates of both sexes, aged between 18 and 62 years old by December 31 of the year in which the incorporation will occur.

Requirements to Participate in the Selection Process of the Brazilian Navy

Temporary Officers are members of the Navy Reserve and are incorporated to render military service on a temporary and regional basis. Their link with the Navy is precarious, with a maximum duration of up to 96 months, not generating any expectation regarding permanency, stability, or transfer to the Remunerated Reserve.

The service lasts a total of one year, divided into two phases: Military-Naval Instruction and Adaptation or application of technical-professional and scientific knowledge. After incorporation, the military will be entitled to the remuneration pertaining to their position, according to the Military Remuneration Law. An extension of service time for one year may be granted, in equal and successive periods, at the discretion of the Naval District Command (ComDN).

Those interested in the Brazilian Navy’s selection process must meet the following requirements:

  • Be a volunteer;
  • Be a natural-born Brazilian;
  • Be between 18 and 62 years old by the date of incorporation;
  • Have good conduct records;
  • Be up to date with electoral and military obligations;
  • Have a maximum of six years of military service rendered;
  • Not be in the condition of a defendant in criminal proceedings;
  • Possess a registration in the Individual Taxpayer Registry (CPF).

Salary of Candidates Approved in the Selection Process for Vacancies Without Competition Is R$ 21,060

If approved, the candidate, after a period of adaptation, will be promoted as RM3 officer in the rank of Corvette Captain, with the possibility of promotion to Frigate Captain. In 2023, the gross salary of a Corvette Captain is around R$ 21,060.00, depending on the number of dependents, the location of service, and other factors.

The selection process of the Brazilian Navy for vacancies without a public competition for Temporary Officer will be governed by the Notice of Convocation and executed by Com1oDN. Registration is mandatory for all volunteers and must be completed online within the stipulated period.

The role of Temporary Officer in the Navy is an opportunity for professionals who wish to serve the country temporarily, contributing their technical and scientific skills. It is important for interested parties to be aware of the requirements and characteristics of the profession before applying for the selection process.
