New Electric Scooter from Mercedes Benz Has Modern, Simple Design, Is Lightweight, and Can Be Easily Transported Anywhere
The renowned automobile manufacturer Mercedes Benz has taken another step towards its vision of becoming fully electric by the end of the decade. Known for its luxury vehicles, the German brand is now expanding its horizon to innovative individual mobility solutions, presenting the Mercedes-AMG E Scooter. This unconventional novelty is a foldable two-wheeled electric scooter, featuring the signature three-pointed star of Mercedes-Benz. Weighing just 14.7 kilograms, this compact scooter can be easily transported in the trunk of an electric vehicle or conveniently taken on public transport, according to Vrum.
Despite its simple appearance, the modest electric scooter from Mercedes Benz carries the grandeur and prestige of the brand’s famous performance and competition division, AMG. The acronym AMG originated from the initials of engineers Hans Aufrecht and Erhard Melcher, and from the town of Großaspach, where it all began.
How the Idea for an Electric Scooter Came About
Since 1967, AMG has been synonymous with the independent preparation of Mercedes-Benz models for motorsport competitions. The talent and passion of the team have been so impressive that, in 1999, Mercedes Benz itself decided to formalize the division.
