The Mining Company Offers Job Openings for Engineering and Geotechnical Leaders in Pará and Home Office

MRN – Mineração Rio do Norte is one of Brazil’s largest producers of bauxite, the raw material for aluminum. A company formed by an association of national and foreign companies that has been operating in the heart of the Amazon, in the west of Pará state, since 1979. Currently, the company is hiring an engineering leader and a geotechnical leader. The opportunities are available to work in the city of Oriximiná, Pará, or in a home office format.

Engineering Leader – Dam Management

• Full Higher Education: Civil Engineering or Mining Engineering;
• Master’s Degree: Engineering (Civil or Mining);
• English: Minimum: Advanced/Differential: Fluent;
• Strong affinity for teamwork and a strong calling for forming competent teams and promoting the professional growth of younger members;
• Absolute focus on the general aspects of best industry practices for Health and Safety and environmental protection;
• Experience in overseeing earthworks involving dam structures in general;
• Experience in evaluating and analyzing Safety Factors and geotechnics in general for mining dam structures;
• Knowledge related to managing mining dams;
• Experience in active participation in Technical Committees and Mining Waste Subcommittees.

• Absolute focus on the general aspects of best industry practices for Health and Safety and environmental protection;
• Experience with technological control of mining dam structures;
• Experience in calculating Safety Factors and geotechnics in general for mining dam structures.
