GranEnergia and Modec Close Contract to Support Petrobras Projects Located in the Campos and Santos Basins

Starting in January, the Flotel UMS Venus from GranIHC will support three FPSOs and one FSO from Japan’s Modec, currently installed in projects by the Brazilian state company Petrobras, located in the Campos and Santos basins.

After several months of negotiation, GranIHC and Modec have finally closed the deal. The contract is expected to be signed next Monday (09/28).

The campaign will focus on the FPSOs Cidade de Niterói, in Marlim Leste, in the Campos Basin, Cidade de Santos, in Uruguá-Tambaú, and Cidade de São Paulo, in Sapinhoá, in Santos, and the FSO Cidade de Macaé, which serves the Marlim Leste, Marlim Sul, and Roncador fields. Modec is seeking professionals for Laboratory Technician positions for offshore opportunities at FPSO Cidade de Caraguatatuba – MV27.

Develop activities such as:

• The Laboratory Technician will be responsible for performing physical and chemical analyses on all samples from the processing plant, routine and non-routine samples, following standard methods using laboratory equipment such as Karl Fischer, centrifuge, fume hood, Chanscope, spectrophotometer, titration, etc., and apply wet chemistry techniques, in addition to having overall responsibility for the maintenance and safekeeping of all installed laboratory equipment, including glassware and chemical standards, and inventory of reagents in the storage area or kept within the laboratory building.
• Operate, maintain, and coordinate the calibration of laboratory equipment with onshore personnel, such as Karl Fischer, centrifuge, exhaust hood, Chanscope, spectrophotometer, potentiometric titrator, pH, conductivity, particle counter, residual chlorine meter, and dissolved oxygen meters, when applicable.

Requirements:

• Complete Technical Education with active CRQ;
• Valid CBSP and Huet;
• Valid NR’s for the performance of the position;
• Intermediate English
