Exhibition in RN Will Mark the Resumption of the Onshore Oil Exploration Sector and Will Take Place from November 26 to 28
Onshore oil exploration is indeed in the spotlight. Following the government’s launch of the program to revitalize onshore oil and gas production, REATE, it is now time for the announcement of the fourth edition of the Onshore Potiguar forum, now called Mossoró Oil & Gas Expo. The event focuses on the oil and gas sector from all regions of Brazil, whose central proposal is to discuss extraction on land and shallow waters, as well as the production chain, especially the suppliers of goods and services in this segment.
This year’s event featured a new launch in Rio de Janeiro, in a presentation to businesspeople from the city, as an invitation for them to get to know the main platform for strengthening onshore oil production in RN.
The event is an initiative of Sebrae and Associação Redepetro RN and will take place from November 26 to 28 at Expocenter Mossoró.

According to Gutemberg Dias, president of Associação Redepetro RN, he spoke about the importance of the Mossoró Oil & Gas Expo and the launch event, “The event was very competitive, with strong attendance from businesspeople in Rio, and exceeded the organization’s expectations (Onip). It was a great success to present the Mossoró Oil & Gas Expo in Rio de Janeiro, and I believe many people from the State will attend the event in Mossoró,” he said.
Potential of Rio Grande do Norte
The idea behind the event’s announcement is to showcase RN’s potential, based on the new investment model in the local oil industry, with the acquisition of 34 mature fields by Potiguar E&P, which plans to invest R$ 600 million over the next five years.
The Mossoró Oil & Gas Expo 2019 will feature the presence of the Minister of Mines and Energy, Bento Albuquerque, for the presentation of the program “2020 – The Year of the Onshore Turnaround,” which outlines the REATE Action Plan, with support from Associação Redepetro RN and other partners.
