With this measure, prices have dropped by up to R$ 12,000 in the 1.0 aspirated configurations with manual transmission, without any content alteration.
The policy came into effect in July 2025 and is already reflected on the manufacturer’s website and commercial activities.

What Is the Sustainable Car Program
The Sustainable Car Program is part of the redesign of the IPI, established by the Decree No. 12,549/2025.
The benefit covers national vehicles classified as compact that meet criteria for environmental efficiency, recyclability, and safety, among others.
For eligible models, the IPI rate can be reduced to zero, allowing full pass-through to the consumer.

According to the government, the proposal aims to encourage fleet renewal and stimulate the sale of more modern, less polluting cars with more protective features for drivers and passengers.
Standard Safety Features
Even in the discounted versions, the safety list remains complete for the segment.
The HB20 comes with six airbags (frontal, side torso, and curtain), ABS brakes with EBD, stability and traction controls, hill start assist, and emergency braking signal.
Additionally, it features seatbelt alert and electric steering, ensuring more convenience while driving.
Aside from the passive and electronic package, the Comfort and Limited versions come with cruise control and speed limiter.
These features, usually available only in more expensive versions from competitors, enhance the model’s cost-benefit appeal.
Bluelink Connectivity for 5 Years
The entire range comes with Hyundai Bluelink as standard, with free service for five years from the purchase of a new vehicle.
The service includes vehicle monitoring, real-time tracking, and remote immobilization in case of theft.

The package also includes remote diagnostics, preventive maintenance alerts, and 24-hour support, bringing the compact closer to solutions already present in higher segments.
This set of services positions the HB20 as one of the few vehicles in its category to offer advanced connectivity at no additional cost for five years.
1.0 Flex Engine and Manual Transmission
In the configurations covered by the program, the set is the 1.0 aspirated flex produced in Brazil, paired with the five-speed manual transmission.
With ethanol, the engine delivers 80 hp at 6,000 rpm and 10.2 kgfm of torque.
With gasoline, it delivers 75 hp and 9.4 kgfm.
The calibration prioritizes efficiency and simple maintenance while ensuring sufficient performance for urban daily use and short trips.
Although there is no turbocharged option in these versions, the brand relies on mechanical reliability and low repair costs as differentiators compared to competitors that require more expensive servicing.
Extended Factory Warranty
All offered Hyundai HB20 vehicles — including those eligible for zero IPI — come with a five-year warranty, with no mileage limit for personal use.
For commercial use, the period is also 60 months, with a limit of 100,000 km.
This coverage exceeds the market average, as competitors like Chevrolet and Fiat typically offer three-year warranties.

HB20S Maintains the Same Features
The HB20S replicates the mechanics and content of the hatch versions covered by the program.
The sedan offers the same safety package, cruise control with speed limiter, Bluelink connectivity, and 1.0 aspirated engine with five speeds.
The main advantage is the 475-liter trunk, aimed at those seeking more luggage space.
With the price repositioning, the sedan now directly competes with the Chevrolet Onix Plus and the Fiat Cronos, models that dominate the segment.
How Offers Stand at Dealerships
The eligible versions appear in official communications marked as “Reduced IPI”.
Prices may vary by region and stock availability, but the promotional table for the four versions serves as a reference for negotiations within the network.
According to dealerships, the immediate discount on the listed price has attracted consumers who previously sought used vehicles, making the new model more accessible.
As long as the eligibility lasts, Hyundai’s strategy maintains discounts of up to R$ 12,000 without cutting back on equipment.
In your view, which version makes more sense for your daily use: Comfort or Limited?
