Currently, the oil multinational operates 10 FPSOs in Brazil and is building five more platforms for the Brazilian offshore market.

On its way to Brazil, the FPSO Carioca MV30 will be the first unit to come into operation, the platform vessel will produce in the Sépia field, an area of ​​transfer of rights in the Santos Basin operated by Petrobras.

Also for the Santos Basin pre-salt, the FPSO Guanabara MV31 should produce the first oil next year in the Mero field, the first production sharing area in Brazil. Mero is a partnership between Petrobras, Shell, Total, CNOOC and CNDC and has PPSA as manager of the Union's share in the sharing contract.

The fifth production unit in the Búzios field, the FPSO Almirante Barroso MV32 is expected to start operating in 2022. The platform vessel will have the capacity to produce 150 barrels of oil per day.

FPSO Anita Garibaldi MV33, also part of the Japanese company's plans, the unit will integrate the Marlim field revitalization module, in deep waters of the Campos Basin, where Petrobras is currently seeking a partner.

With the capacity to produce up to 220 barrels of oil per day and 15 million m³/day of natural gas, the FPSO Bacalhau will be the last project in the current portfolio to start operating. Production from the field operated by Equinor, in partnership with ExxonMobil and Petrogal, is expected to start between 2023-2024.
