Indian company develops new low-cost electric motorcycle that can reach the market for less than R$ 7 thousand, offering a maximum speed of 75 km/h and autonomy of 130 km.
The cheap electric bikes just won another model. It is the EcoDryft, a new “cheap” electric motorcycle from the automaker PURE EV, capable of reaching up to 75 km/h and with a range of 130 km. The model, which was developed in China, is available in blue, black, red and gray and can carry up to 140 kg of payload.
Low-cost electric motorcycle has several technologies and can reach other regions
Naturally, the model hits the local market with a very attractive price of 99.999 Indian rupees, which in direct conversion is equivalent to just over BRL 6.200. According to the automaker, the model is the most accessible of its category in the country.
For this amount, the buyer takes home a vehicle equipped with a electric motor 3 kW, a 3 kWh battery and even a digital instrument panel and Bluetooth connectivity. The good news is that the “cheap” electric motorcycle will also be launched in other regions of the world, passing through South Asia, Africa and the Middle East, for example.
- This country has so much fuel that gasoline is cheaper than a bottle of water
- The fine will sing! The interior of SP will have new radars, announces dealership see where
- Tesla announces massive recall in China: 1,2 million cars affected and safety risks exposed
- Nissan GT-R 2024: The ultimate Godzilla that combines brutality, elegance and surreal performance in one car
The plan is part of the automaker's strategy to expand the reach of its dealer network. Ultimately, the company plans to take advantage of the “tree” recent in the electric motorcycle market that is emerging in India to do well in sales.
The expectation is that EcoDryf is well received by consumers, now it remains to be seen whether there is a chance that the cheap electric motorcycle will also arrive here. The price would be quite attractive for Brazilian consumers. With reservations open, the first units of the model will be delivered next month. Final price may vary depending on state subsidies and other fees.
Electric motorcycle market is expanding
In addition to this model, the company iGowise Mobility launched another model to the electric car market, which was named BeiGo X4. The model was announced on January 26th and what draws attention is its price.
A “cheap” electric motorcycle will cost around R$6,9 in its basic version. In addition, it will have 150 km of autonomy, due to its ultra-durable and fire-resistant LifePO4 batteries, capable of withstanding more than 2,5 recharge cycles.
Another detail that draws attention to the model is a spacious luggage compartment located under the seat that has a capacity of 60 liters. In Brazil, combustion models from the main automakers have between 10 and 18 liters. Therefore, in some cases, the Indian scooter has up to 6 times more storage space.
Advantages of an electric motorcycle
Currently in Brazil, there is a crisis in the gasoline price, which is constantly increasing, thus generating a ripple effect that affects all of society, but especially those who use their own vehicle. In this way, purchasing an electric scooter can be a great option for those who plan to save money, and there are many advantages in purchasing this type of model in the country.
First, it is necessary to remember that, in Brazil, the electric motorcycle requires a driving license to ride freely on the streets. According to the Brazilian Traffic Code (CBT), to drive moped models above 50 cylinders, the rider needs a CNH type A. Therefore, the advantages of electric motorcycles are based on other requirements. For example, spending less on fuel or not having to pay IPVA.
