A Nissan introduced the second model of the brand's hybrid vehicle series in China, the Nissan Sentra e-Power Hybrid, while Brazil is still awaiting the arrival of Kicks e-Power. The new Nissan Sentra uses an electric motor very similar to the Compact SUV.
In addition, it includes a second, smaller gasoline engine that works as a generator to power the batteries and the electrical set. Thus, the Sentra E-Power, known in the Chinese market as the Sylphy, has a fuel economy of 25,15 kilometers per liter and can travel about 1.200 kilometers on a single tank of gasoline.

The car can accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 8,6 seconds when equipped with the package.
If the model is transported to Brazil, these values must be revised by the automaker, in order to comply with the legislation. Power and torque values will be increased, but on the other hand consumption will also be higher than that achieved in China, which is to be expected with a fuel of vegetable origin.
The Nissan Sentra Hybrid E-Power is visually identical to the conventional model, which has a 2,0-liter gasoline engine and produces 147 horsepower. That is, it also brings the company's new visual identity, which includes more angular lines and a lower front, and does so within the V-Motion concept.
In addition, it features exclusive wheels, a roof in the same color as the bodywork and the word “e-Power” stamped on the trunk lid.

Since the year 2021, Nissan has been seriously considering the introduction of e-Power technology here in Brazil. The start of operations had been postponed, but Nissan said at the end of August 2022 that the hybrid system would be available in South America in 2023.
“I won't say in which country it will come out first, nor in which model it will be available. Just the fact that it will arrive in 2023”, were the words of Ricardo Flammini, who is vice president of marketing, sales and after-sales for the automaker in South America. On the other hand, everything indicates that the debut will be together with Kicks, already in flex form. There is even the possibility that the hybrid SUV will be produced in our country.
