Edital For The Caixa Econômica Federal Contest To Be Released Soon: Open Positions For Banking Technicians – Learn More About The Position And The Benefits Of Entering Public Service.
The expectation for the publication of a new contest announcement from Caixa Econômica Federal (CEF) remains for early 2024. The forecast was previously confirmed by Rita Serrano, who was leading the institution at the time of the announcement. Despite the change in presidency, now under Carlos Vieira, the public competition is still following the established planning.
New Contest From Caixa Econômica Federal Will Only Include Immediate Positions
According to the latest information, there is an expectation that not just one, but two announcements will be released next year. Thus, if this becomes a reality, Caixa is expected to release the long-awaited announcement for a public contest for banking technicians, but also another one for the information technology sector.
It is worth noting that, in June, it was determined that the next announcement should only be released for the filling of immediate vacancies, with no existence of a reserve list for personnel. However, there is still no definition of the number of vacancies.

Those interested in competing for the Caixa Econômica Federal contest must have a high school diploma. The approved candidates will be responsible for providing public service, identifying clients, verifying the authenticity of documents, fingerprints, signatures, when specific training is conducted, conducting business and marketing products and services, performing various calculations and controls, carrying out administrative activities and banking operations, using technological equipment and tools.
They also identify and point out opportunities for improvements in the processes in which they operate, execute other activities inherent to the occupational content of the positions, among others.

In addition to the last contest from Caixa Econômica Federal for open competition for banking technicians, which started in 2014, a new selection was held in 2021, for the filling of 1,100 vacancies, aimed only at candidates with disabilities, with 1,000 for immediate filling and 100 for a personnel reserve list.
The vacancies were for banking technician positions to operate in 27 Federal Units and banking technician positions in the area of information technology, stationed only in Brasília, Federal District. The public contest included objective and essay tests. The objective part had 60 questions, covering the following subjects:
- portuguese language;
- financial mathematics;
- banking knowledge;
- specific knowledge.

Taking a public contest is the goal of thousands of people. According to the National Household Sample Survey (Pnad Contínua), the December rate reached 14.6%.
With a rate considered high and the economic recovery still below expectations, entering the job market is very difficult. Thus, the Caixa Econômica Federal contest is a great alternative to enter the market, depending only on the candidate’s ability.
According to a study released by economist Naércio Menezes Filho, the average income of Brazilians who completed high school is R$ 1,694. Filho points out that the more years of study, the higher the citizen’s income will be. This social and economic behavior is called the diploma effect.
