New Honda WR-V arrives in 2025 with Turbo Engine to Lead!

Confirmed for 2025: new Honda WR-V It will be made in Brazil, larger and with the option of a 1.0 turbo engine and CVT to compete among compact SUVs.

Honda officially confirms: the new generation of the WR-V arrives in Brazil. The launch of the compact SUV will take place in 2025. The new Honda WR-V uses a new platform and has grown significantly in size.

It will be the Japanese brand's new entry-level model in the country. It will compete with Fiat pulse, VW Nivus and Chevrolet Tracker, offering a 1.5 naturally aspirated engine and also a new 1.0 turbo.

New Honda WR-V to compete among compacts

The model was already registered with the National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI) since 2022. Now, Honda confirms its official launch in Brazil. The new Honda WR-V arrives to compete for sales in the heated compact SUV segment.

The brand aims to steal customers from models such as the VW T-Cross, Fiat Pulse and Chevrolet Tracker. It will position itself as Honda's most affordable SUV option, below the current City and HR-V.

Renewed look and surprising space: almost an HR-V?

The design of the new Honda WR-V It is modern and robust. The front features a grille with chrome elements and full LED glasses. On the sides, the highlights are the wheels up to 17 inches and the option of two-tone paint (roof in another color).

The rear end has LED taillights and is reminiscent of the Honda BR-V (a 7-seater version sold in Asia). The dimensions are generous for an entry-level compact: 4,32 meters long (just 1 cm shorter than the HR-V) and a good 2,65-meter wheelbase. The trunk has a capacity of 381 liters.

Engine options: the well-known 1.5 naturally aspirated and the expected 1.0 Turbo flex with CVT

O new Honda WR-V will have two engine options in Brazil. The entry-level versions will use the well-known 1.5 naturally aspirated engine with direct injection, already present in the City and in the basic versions of the HR-V. This engine produces 126 horsepower and 15,8 kgfm of torque (with ethanol).

The big news will be the introduction of a 1.0 turbo three-cylinder engine. It will be flex-fuel and is expected to deliver around 130 horsepower and 20 kgfm of torque. Both engines will be coupled exclusively to a CVT automatic transmission, which simulates up to seven gears.

Simple finish, good equipment and safety

The interior of the new Honda WR-V will have a simpler look than its bigger brothers City and HR-V. The finish will be predominantly rigid plastic, but good assembly quality is expected. The interior space comfortably accommodates five occupants, thanks to the good wheelbase. Equipment includes single-zone digital air conditioning, electrically folding rearview mirrors, keyless entry with remote start and induction cell phone charger. The multimedia center will have an 8-inch screen with wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as native GPS and a rear-view camera.

In terms of safety, the SUV comes with 6 airbags, traction and stability controls and ABS brakes (disc in the front, drum in the rear) as standard. The top-of-the-line versions (probably RS and Touring) will have a complication alert, autonomous braking and Honda's LaneWatch system (a camera in the right-hand rearview mirror for blind spots).

Production in Brazil and prices: when will the new Honda WR-V arrive?

O new Honda WR-V 2026 (although the launch is in 2025) will be manufactured in Brazil. Production will take place at Honda's factory in interior of São Paulo (Itirapina). This will allow the car to have competitive prices. The launch is confirmed to take place in the first half of 2025. The price estimate is that the new WR-V will be positioned between R$ 110 thousand and R$ 150 thousand.

This means it won't enter the Honda HR-V's price range, which currently starts at R$151.200. The new WR-V is also expected to have versions aimed at people with disabilities, with prices in the range of R$100. The expectation is that the model will quickly become a sales success.

Hey, dude, wasn't the deal with Cuba and Venezuela? Now it's escalating to China too? LOL Not even Trump could handle a fight with the powerful China, here you come, a poor Brazilian, a follower of the infamous, unspeakable, ineligible person, wanting to clash with the ancient nation? LOL

I didn't mention Cuba, nor Venezuela, nor was there any mention of presidential candidates. Talking to someone who doesn't even know the subject is like sitting down with someone and finding out their opinion.

What a retrograde, outdated, pro-Bozist and uninformed way of thinking. Don't repeat what your friends say, go look for correct information because communism as you assimilated, from China, is far away.
