New Nivus GTS Arrives Soon in the Brazilian Automotive Market with a 1.4 Turbo Engine. The Model Will Have 150 Horsepower and 0 to 100 in Under 8 Seconds.
Volkswagen will not only have the Amarok and restyled T-Cross this year in Brazil, and one of the most awaited models will be the first to arrive here. What Do We Know So Far About the New Nivus GTS?
One of the biggest customer complaints about Volkswagen was about why they had not launched a version with a 1.4 Turbo engine for the Nivus, and after much time, the Nivus GTS is ready and will be one of the first launches of the year from the brand here.

In terms of dimensions, there will be no changes even with new bumpers, keeping the current 4.26 m in length, 2.56 m in wheelbase, 1.75 m in width, and 1.49 m in height. The Nivus GTS with a 1.4 turbo engine also excels in trunk capacity, accommodating up to 415 L of luggage.
In front, the new Nivus will have an exclusive and sporty look, featuring new bumpers, headlights, and adaptive IQ.Light, along with a grille illuminated on the sides. The model will only come with new wheels, adopting 18-inch rims with a diamond finish at the rear.
New Nivus GTS Goes from 0 to 100 in Under 8 Seconds
The engine is a major highlight of the new Brazilian Nivus GTS, which will feature a 1.4 Turbo Flex four-cylinder engine with direct fuel injection. It delivers up to 150 horsepower and 25.5 kgfm of torque paired with a six-speed automatic transmission with a torque converter.
The model will have performance well above that of the T-Cross with this engine, which already performs very well. The 0 to 100 of the new Nivus GTS may be under 8 seconds.
Moving to the interior, the major update for the Nivus GTS will be the use of new upholstery on the seats, which will be the same as those of the Polo GTS, and we will also have a synthetic leather strip on the dashboard as a major differentiator to give a more sophisticated look to the car with the 1.4 turbo engine. The interior space will remain the same, being reasonable and comfortably accommodating four adults and at most one child in the middle of the rear seat.
New Car with a 1.4 Turbo Engine Comes with Various Technologies
In terms of features, one of the most awaited items for the Nivus GTS is definitely the sunroof. Additionally, it will come with keyless entry, digital climate control with touch controls, start-stop, multifunction steering wheel, wireless phone charging, a fully configurable 10.2-inch digital panel, among many others.
The multimedia system will retain the 10-inch VW Play, adding functions such as wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a rearview camera, but unfortunately, it will not come with native GPS.
Now moving on to safety, the new Nivus GTS will be one of the most complete in this segment, more than the current version we have today, and it is already a reference among entry-level models. The car will come with the desired IQ.Light adaptive high beam headlights that cut off oncoming traffic.
There is also collision warning, autonomous emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, rear cross-traffic alert, maneuver braking, adaptive cruise control, and much more.
