On the last 30th, Recife’s mayor, João Campos, visited the construction site of the Novo Atacarejo, alongside the project’s president, Daniel Costa. The new unit of the chain, which is under construction, will receive investments of R$ 100 million, generating 500 direct job openings, along with 1,500 indirect jobs. During the visit, João Campos stated that “We are here inspecting another investment in Recife – the Novo Atacarejo – which is being built in the North Zone of the City. Here, more than R$ 100 million is invested in the city. And what is more relevant: 500 jobs will be generated immediately for the people of Recife to work. I want to congratulate, on behalf of Daniel, everyone involved in Novo Atacarejo, this project that is under construction in the city, generating opportunities and income.”

The Construction of the Project in Pernambuco
The president of Novo Atacarejo, Daniel Costa, stated that the work will be completed in 100 days. The project under construction is 45% physically completed. “We thank Mayor João Campos for this visit; this is our second store in Recife, and we have already been working for 30 days. We are scheduled to open at the end of November; 500 direct positions will be opened, and soon we will be inaugurating this store here in the capital,” emphasizes the executive.
The Novo Atacarejo under construction in the state of Pernambuco, located in the Dois Irmãos neighborhood, will offer butchery, deli, and bakery services with in-house production, as well as selling about 9,000 items, including perishable foods, grocery, hygiene products, cleaning supplies, automotive items, candy, and beverages. There will be 6,000 m² of sales area, 32 check-outs, air-conditioned environment, 200 parking spaces, and 14,000 m² of total area. This is the second store of the Pernambucano group in Recife; the first is located in the Bongi neighborhood and was inaugurated last December. In Pernambuco, there are 11 stores.

Araupel, a manufacturer of wood components for the construction industry, announced it will make a R$ 40 million investment to expand its factory in Guarapuava, in the southern region of the state of Paraná.
