The state of Rio de Janeiro will gain a unit from the pharmaceutical company União Química, in the municipality of Itatiaia, in the South Fluminense region. The announcement was made this Thursday (21) during the visit of Governor Cláudio Castro to the company headquarters in Guarulhos (SP). With 5 thousand square meters, the new distribution center will start operating in early December, generating over 200 direct jobs. Investments in the New Enterprise in Rio de Janeiro
With an investment of R$ 100 million in the first year, the new distribution center in Itatiaia, in the state of Rio de Janeiro, will be responsible for 15% of the company’s operations in Brazil. Once the distribution center comes into operation, União Química expects to deliver its products to the state on the same day as the order or within a maximum of 24 hours.
“With these investments that the State has made, we are regaining confidence in Rio de Janeiro, which has once again become the country’s gateway. It is, once again, Rio’s time. That is why we and other companies from Brazil and abroad are coming to the state”, said Fernando de Castro, president of União Química.

According to the general director of operations at Amazon in Brazil, Ricardo Pagani, the arrival of the new distribution center in Rio de Janeiro makes the company proud to bring a huge number of new job opportunities to the local region of São João de Meriti.
