Chevrolet Celta is resurrected and promises to reach the automotive industry in mid-2024. Performance and standard items have not yet been released by General Motors.
Focusing on the satisfaction of car lovers and drivers, the North American manufacturer Chevrolet, is having a super car launch: the Celta's triumphant return, getting closer and closer to returning to the automotive industry. According to media data, the new launch arrives to take the place that the Fiat Palio left open.
New Chevrolet Celta deviates from the brand's visual language and reinvent yourself
Developed in China in partnership with wuling, the new generation of the Chevrolet Aveo came to attract attention in the automotive industry, leaving thousands of Brazilians waiting for the impressive vehicle to come to Brazil.
Chevrolet was very brief about the details of the new Aveo 2024. The brand is already treating it as a 2024 line as it will only be launched next year. The company only informs that it will have six airbags, four-wheel ABS, seat belt alert and reverse sensor, among other standard items.

Visually, the new generation deviates significantly from Chevrolet's current visual language and is influenced by other models. An example of this is the design of the side window that joins the rear in an X shape in an identical way to the second generation Hyundai HB20.
The front has aspects of Volkswagen with the design of the headlights and front grille similar to those of the Nivus. The chrome trim that joins the headlights to the logo further reinforces the Volkswagen character of the 'new Chevrolet Celta'.
Especially because the design of the front bumper is the same as that of the Taigo R-Line, the sporty version of the European Nivus. At the rear, the lights invade the trunk lid and have a horizontal design.
New 'Chevrolet Celta' arrives in Mexico's automotive industry
The new generation of the Chevrolet Aveo made its debut in Mexico in the first half of this year as the 2024 model year, when the prices, versions, standard items and other details of the compact hatchback will be revealed. In Mexico, the model is currently sold, but in a sedan body style (with a starting price equivalent to R$70,8) and in an older generation than the one recently revealed.
General Motors has announced part of the hatch's equipment list. The new Chevrolet Aveo 2024 will feature disc brakes on 4 wheels (unavailable on Onix), six airbags, rear parking sensors and a warning about not buckling seat belts, as previously mentioned.
However, no image of the interior was revealed by the brand, which promises that the hatch will have extensive internal space and the option to fold the rear seat completely. The mechanics of the model were also not disclosed.
Old generation delivers 108 horsepower
In the old generation of the Aveo with a sedan body, the Aveo is sold in Mexico with a 1.5 naturally aspirated engine with 108 horsepower and 14,4 kgfm of torque. The transmission options for the new Chevrolet Celta are a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic. The new version of the Ônix is also being sold in Mexico, however only in the sedan body, with a price equivalent to R$80,3.
Returning to the Celta, the old model loved by Brazilians sold 1.557.202 units. As a result of the Arara Azul project, Celta was launched in 2000 and remained online until 2014.
During this period, it sold millions of units throughout Brazil, with the largest quantities present in the cities of São Paulo, Brasília and Rio de Janeiro. The most successful version was the Life with two doors, from 2004 to 2011, which represented 19% of the total.
