The Brazilian automotive market is constantly adapting, and the scenario for October 2024 is no different.

Amid an economy that poses challenges to consumers’ wallets, more accessible options among zero-kilometer popular cars are increasingly sought after.

With prices between R$ 74 thousand and R$ 100 thousand, models like Renault Kwid, Fiat Mobi, and Citroën C3 occupy the top positions in a ranking where economy and efficiency are valued characteristics.

Next, we will explore what each model offers in terms of cost and benefits, detailing which are the cheapest cars in Brazil in 2024 and what they provide.

Renault Kwid: Accessible Leader with Good Performance

With a price between R$ 74,590 and R$ 80,590, the Renault Kwid remains one of the most economical and accessible alternatives for those looking to acquire a new car.

This model, which has already stood out previously for its cost-benefit ratio, features a 1.0 SCe three-cylinder engine delivering about 71 hp of power, sufficient for efficient daily driving.

With low fuel consumption, the Kwid is primarily aimed at urban environments, also offering safety and practicality.

The Kwid’s success in the Brazilian market is largely due to its low maintenance costs and consumption.

This factor has been decisive in attracting buyers looking for an efficient popular car without spending much on maintenance.

Fiat Mobi: Compact and Versatile

The Fiat Mobi also stands out on the list, with prices ranging from R$ 74,990 to R$ 77,990.

The Like 1.0 model, the simplest in the line, is a compact hatchback that brings 75 hp of power, ensuring agility in urban routes and ease of parking due to its reduced size.

In addition to being practical, the Mobi stands out for its compact design and fuel efficiency, characteristics that make it a popular choice among consumers seeking practicality and low cost.

As reported by the Terra website, the Mobi is sought especially by urban drivers who value economy and functionality in tight spaces, such as parking lots and busy streets.

Citroën C3: Modern and Technological Alternative

Another model in the spotlight is the Citroën C3, which enters the market with prices ranging from R$ 77,590 to R$ 100,990, depending on the version and included options.

With a modern design and some of the most advanced technologies among popular cars, the C3 brings connectivity and comfort to the entry-level segment.

Equipped with the 1.0 Firefly engine delivering 75 hp, the model is ideal for those looking for a compact car but with a larger internal space and a range of technological features, including compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The Citroën C3 is seen as one of the most technological models in its price range, providing a balance between modernity and accessibility.

Its cost, although a bit higher in the upper versions, is justified by the presence of standard items that are not common in vehicles of the same segment.

Fiat Argo: Reliability and Comfort

Positioned slightly higher, the Fiat Argo ranges between R$ 86,990 and R$ 102,990.

With an attractive look and good comfort ratings, the Argo is known for its 1.0 Firefly engine with 75 hp, making driving more agile and economical.

This hatchback features a spacious cabin and finishing that conveys a sense of superior quality. It is an interesting option for those who need a bit more space without compromising on price.

According to experts, the Argo is ideal for those who value comfort and modern design, being a well-positioned model in the cost-benefit ranking in 2024.

Renault Stepway: Robustness and Style

Closing the ranking of the five cheapest cars, the Renault Stepway is offered for R$ 86,990 in a single version.

Equipped with a 1.0 engine delivering 82 hp, the Stepway offers a bit more power, which is an attraction for those seeking more robustness.

With a differentiated look, similar to a compact SUV, the model appeals to consumers looking for style and a vehicle that stands out on the streets.

Although it is at the upper price limit for a popular car, the Stepway remains a relevant option for those seeking an economical model with a sporty and rugged look.

Its elevated suspension and robust design are characteristics that attract a specific audience interested in a vehicle with a striking presence and capable of facing challenging streets and roads.

The Race for the Most Accessible Popular Car

In an increasingly expensive automobile market, popular car options like these five models continue to attract attention.

Consumers looking to acquire an accessible vehicle face a complex situation: although prices have stabilized, they remain high for a large part of the population.

According to experts, maintaining prices below R$ 90 thousand for popular models represents an effort from automakers to stay competitive and continue meeting the demand for economical vehicles.

For many Brazilians, the dream of owning a new car is still difficult to achieve, especially due to rising living costs and financing rates.

In a scenario where values remain high, these five models offer some hope, but the question remains: how long will Brazilians have to deal with such high values to buy a new car? Leave your answer in the comments!
