New Hybrid SUV from GWM, Called Wey 05, Will Soon Hit the Brazilian Market. The New GWM Wey 05 Delivers a Range of Up to 1,000 km.
GWM confirmed that, in addition to the already known Haval and Ora, and the already confirmed Tank and Poer, it will also sell a luxury member of the Wey lineup. The one responsible for introducing the new range will be the GWM Wey 05, a hybrid SUV from GWM larger than a Jeep Commander and with almost 500 hp to compete with models from Audi, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz. The main attraction of the model is its fuel consumption of 250 km/l.
Design of the New SUV from GWM Wey 05 Surprises the Public
The hybrid SUV GWM Wey 05 (also known as Wey Coffee 01 in China) has dimensions of 4.87 meters in length, 1.96 m in width, 1.69 m in height, and a wheelbase of 2.91 m.
The appearance is well-suited to European tastes, featuring rounded volumes and angular lines, sharp full LED headlights and taillights, and 21-inch wheels. This is not by chance, as the new GWM SUV could be produced in Europe in the near future, possibly in Spain.

Fiat works miracles in the Brazilian market, lowers the price of its 0 km hatch to R$ 69,990, reestablishes the model as the cheapest car in the country, and reignites the battle against Kwid and C3.

It is also not a coincidence that the model’s name change occurred, as it is already sold as GWM Wey 05, without the Coffee, as will happen in Brazil. Like the Brazilian automotive market, the European market did not take well to the Coffee, an eccentricity appreciated by the Chinese.
Inside, the new hybrid SUV GWM Wey 05 features a premium aura, with high-quality finishes and a technological appearance to compete with brands like Audi, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz, which lead the luxury segment.
Interior of the New SUV from GWM Wey 05 Is Filled with Technology and Luxury
The model comes with three screens, one horizontal for the instrument cluster, a 14.6-inch multimedia center, and another for the air conditioning controls, as seen in Audi and JLR models. The sound system features 12 speakers, and the internal lighting scheme promises 256 different colors.

Among the features are an electric trunk, a 360° camera, Alcantara-trimmed seats, a head-up display with augmented reality, heated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, automatic parking assist, and level 3 semi-autonomous driving systems. They vary according to the two versions offered in Europe.
The arrival date of the hybrid SUV GWM Wey 05 has not been confirmed yet, but it is possible that it will arrive this year, or at the latest, by the first half of 2025. The prices are also a mystery, but considering that the current Haval H6 exceeds R$ 300 thousand, the new SUV from GWM could range between R$ 400 thousand and R$ 500 thousand.
New SUV from GWM Can Go from 0 to 100 km/h in Just 5 Seconds
The hybrid SUV GWM Wey 05 is equipped with a plug-in hybrid system, meaning it can be charged at electric networks. It combines a front 2.0 turbo engine and two electric motors that together deliver up to 483 hp of power and 86.3 kgfm of torque.
The traction is all-wheel drive due to the configuration of the motors, and the brand claims that the model can go from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5 seconds, a number worthy of a sports car. The transmission of the new SUV GWM Wey 05 is a nine-speed automatic.
The battery has a capacity of 39.7 kWh, enough for a projected range of up to 146 km in electric mode, according to the brand. In addition, it can be charged at up to 50 kW. Another promise is that the model can achieve fuel consumption of 250 km/l, according to the combined WLTP cycle.
