Processing
The project to exclude Nuclep from the government’s privatization agenda will be reviewed by the Committees on Mines and Energy; Development, Industry, Commerce and Services; and Constitution and Justice and Citizenship. It will then proceed to the Plenary for consideration.
NUCLEP Maintains the Works on the Reactor of the First Brazilian Nuclear Submarine Full Steam Ahead
PROSUB delegation visits NUCLEP to monitor the development project of the prototype reactor of the first Brazilian nuclear submarine
The project is called LABGENE (Nuclear Energy Generation Laboratory) and was designed as a prototype, on land and at full scale, of the propulsion systems that will be installed in the submarine.
The reactor is currently in the process of manufacturing, assembly, and supply of the vessel (cylinder) and internal containment structures, as well as the primary shielding tank.
