Petrochemical Complex of Itaboraí (Comperj)
The promise made 12 years ago was to transform Itaboraí into a major hub for fuels and chemical products, where a refinery with a capacity to process 150,000 barrels of oil would operate.
Currently, Petrobras is investing R$ 4 billion in the area of the old Comperj for the implementation of a project that will enable the transportation of natural gas from the pre-salt. The works are scheduled to begin in 2021.
Defensive of Petrobras
According to Petrobras, the company is up to date with its obligations to all companies contracted for Comperj, and they are responsible for paying the employees.
