This week, Inpasa Bioenergia published a financial statement regarding the Nova Mutum plant. According to the document, the construction is expected to generate up to 2 thousand direct and indirect job openings.

When in operation, the plant will have the capacity to produce between 900 thousand to 1 million liters of alcohol per day. The corn processing will be up to 2.3 thousand tons per day, potentially reaching 800 thousand tons per year.
In addition to anhydrous and hydrated ethanol, the Nova Mutum plant will also produce DDGS1 corn bran and crude corn oil.
The unit will also produce its own electricity, consuming about 50% of the planned 30MW and selling the excess. The corn for raw material will be purchased from producers in Nova Mutum and also from neighboring municipalities in the northern region of the State of MT.
In the report made by the company, the new coronavirus may cause impacts on the schedule. “Considering the current situation of the outbreak dissemination, we understand that our revenue projections and operational cash flows for the year 2020 may need to be revised. Given the unpredictability of the outbreak’s evolution and its impacts, it is currently impractical to estimate the financial effect of the outbreak on the projected revenues and operational cash flows.”
Inpasa also operates a plant in Sinop, where it is working to expand the installed capacity to produce up to 2.5 million liters of ethanol per day.
