“The Oil and Gas market is expanding with new projects, and we see this as an opportunity for development, qualification, and inclusion of women in predominantly male areas, such as production. Promoting training is an excellent way to include female workers in this moment of market growth,” comments Vinicius Castilho, director of the Offshore Maintenance and Services area of Ocyan.
The course will be hybrid, with online theoretical classes and in-person practical classes over 21 months and a total workload of 1600 hours, consisting of 800 hours at Senai in Macaé and 800 hours at the companies’ facilities. The chosen apprentice format allows participants to already become company members with remuneration from the first day of theoretical classes. “We will hire ten women through Ocyan and ten will be hired by Actemium. We expect a large demand,” concludes Castilho.
The result will be announced in September, and admission will be on the 15th of the same month.
Enrollment: Women interested in competing for the free welding apprentice course spots must register by September 3, 2021, on the Ocyan website, or send an email to Actemium recrutamento.macae@actemium.com
