Chief Engineer
Prerequisites:
- Certification III/2 – IOM;
- Professional License for High Voltage Installation Design;
- Full DP;
- Advanced English;
Experience:
Have experience in the role, preferably on PLSV, AHTS or other DP vessels. Experience in the engine room of offshore or long-haul vessels.
Main Activities:
Prepare the engines for maneuvers, performing general checks and maintaining the controls necessary for operation;
Supervise and/or systematically control the indicators of engine rotation, pressure, and temperature, monitoring them through the control panels, to ensure the conditions of the machinery complex, compressors, and pumps of the vessel;
Supervise and/or perform preventive control of the maintenance, conservation, and cleaning conditions of machines, engines, and equipment, performing or instructing on the exchange of filters, sleeves, oil, parts, etc., and other procedures established in the plan, in order to ensure perfect operating conditions of the boat and satisfactory evaluation of the service provided, made by the client;
Oversee the conservation and maintenance of winches, windlasses, and batteries, making observations and systematic controls to ensure perfect operation;
Challenges of the Position:
Ensure the best performance of the engines and mechanical equipment of the vessel, to achieve the contract results within the stipulated time, respecting the contractual conditions and the Safety and Environmental regulations
