Applications Open for the 2025 IFS Selection Process! Compete for More Than 1,300 Spots in Free Technical and Higher Education Courses. Don’t Miss This Chance!
The Federal Institute of Sergipe (IFS) announced the opening of more than 1,300 spots for subsequent technical courses and undergraduate degrees for the first semester of 2025. Applications will begin this Friday, January 3, and will remain open until January 31.
Selection Process for the Courses
For subsequent technical courses, aimed at candidates who have already completed high school, selection will be conducted through a public electronic draw. To participate, it is necessary to fill out the online form, choose the campus and desired course, and indicate, if applicable, the reservation of spots.
For higher education courses, selection will be based on the scores obtained in Portuguese, Mathematics, and Writing from ENEM editions conducted between 2013 and 2024. Candidates need to achieve at least 400 points in each of these subjects to qualify.

Quota and Inclusion Policy
Regarding quotas, IFS follows the regulations outlined in the legislation to promote educational inclusion. At least 50% of the spots are reserved for students who completed high school entirely in public schools. Within this reserve, there are specific subdivisions for self-identified Black, Brown, and Indigenous (PPI) candidates and for Persons with Disabilities (PcD), respecting the proportions set by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE).
5% of the spots reserved for general admission will be set aside for Persons with Disabilities (PcD), regardless of educational background. This policy reinforces IFS’s commitment to inclusion and equal opportunities.
Applications for Free Courses
Applications will be open from January 3 to 31 and must be made on the official website (click here). On February 3, the list of registered candidates, the seed for the draw for subsequent technical courses, and the validation of applications for higher education courses will be announced. The electronic draw will take place on February 10, with the preliminary result for undergraduate programs published on February 18 and the final result on February 21.
