Google Is Offering 200 Job Openings Home Office and On-Site in the Engineering Sector. The Opportunities Are Destined for Residents of BH, Where There Is Already an Engineering Center, and SP

Google announced on Monday (24) the project to double its engineering team in Brazil by the end of next year. The company plans to open 200 new job openings aimed at BH, where there is already an engineering center, and SP, where it plans to strengthen its team. There will also be job openings available that are fully home office. So far, there are on-site openings in areas considered important by Google, such as privacy and data security. These positions adopt a hybrid format, with three days in the office and two days working from home.

Brazil Is a Protagonist in R&D of Products

According to the company, the aim of the home office job openings for SP and BH is to maintain Brazil’s prominence in research and development of products from the platform. Currently, on average, one in every ten search results features the brand of the Engineering Center in Belo Horizonte.

Brazilian engineers have been involved in the development of products such as Symptom Search, Family Link, and the search panel with sports match results.

Google Seeks Diversity in Its New Hires

The company has offered, since last year, channels specifically aimed at encouraging applications from Black individuals for job openings, with the intention of expanding representation within the workforce.

According to Google’s Recruitment Leader for Latin America, Daniel Borges, there is a global commitment to making Google an increasingly representative and diverse company. Therefore, several channels are offered for applications in the fields of engineering and business.

To apply for home office or on-site positions, candidates should visit the careers page and look for “Black Community Inclusion” job openings. Additionally, in 2022, new positions are set to be opened in the technology and business sectors.
