Petrobras Awarded TechnipFMC an EPCI Contract for Mero 2, in the Santos Basin, and Offshore Campaign is Scheduled to Begin in 2022
TechnipFMC secured a major Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Installation (EPCI) contract through a competitive bidding process, from Petrobras, the leader and operator of the Libra Consortium, which was formed by Petrobras, Shell Brasil, Total, CNPC, CNOOC Limited, and Pré-sal Petróleo SA (PPSA), for the offshore field Mero 2, located in the pre-salt Santos Basin.

The contract with Petrobras covers the engineering, procurement, construction, installation, and pre-commissioning of the internal rigid riser and flowlines for offshore production. It also includes the installation and pre-commissioning of flexible service lines and steel tubular umbilicals, as well as the towing and connection of the FPSO.
TechnipFMC will leverage synergies with the Mero 1 offshore project, using rigid and flexible internal vessels and its significant local presence in Brazil, including a spool base, logistics base, and engineering resources. The offshore campaign is scheduled to begin in 2022.
